I dunno what Joe Gallagher does for sure.

    Boxercise for professional athletes

The on time he had some sort of plan that could be seen. Was Crolla pressuring Barroso with his feet and taking everything on the arms and gloves again behind the high guard and eventually letting him punch himself out.

Calum Smith doesnt have any kind of jab to help him compete at world class.

Him beating Groves for me is an absolute anomaly. Right time. Right place.

George beats him 99/100 even a year previous to that fight. Maybe 100/100.

But you're right in general the standard of British trainers is poor. Even UK fighters have admitted that. I'm amazed more of them don't go abroad to train but boxing is a sport where home comforts are very important to a fighter.
      Which fighters have admitted this?

McCraken is one of the best and most respected boxing coaches anywhere on the planet, the ingle gym has produced some world class fighters, as has Adam Booth and his gym and the entire amateur set up is probably the 3rd or 4th best on the planet right now.

Young Shane aint even close to being one of the better ones and in fact, he is a great conditioning coach but knows little about boxing.

Weird post...Callum Smith is famous for his jab. Why he didn't throw it against Canelo is anyone's guest, maybe the fact that Smith was training to keep his weight down and completely drained come fight night?

I have literally never heard anyone ever say that. He's tall. Even Joe Gallagher lol.

His jab is a pure range finder

I feel like UK trainers make fighters too rigid and haven’t adapted to the times.

American fighters in comparison are so loose and fluid. Only trainer who seems to develop fighters like that is Adam Booth. Obviously it depends on the individual fighter’s talent and gifts etc.

Yeah I think McCracken gets unfair knocks. AJ was a baby to the sport even when he went pro. How he’s developed him has been great, as everyone can see the flaws/lack of IQ that AJ has but he’s overachieved and then some. Dude is unified and potentially undisputed heavy!

I agree. But he learned/mastered the bulk of his defensive and movement skills under Peter Fury. Even though he fought Wilder on the front foot, it was with movement and defence in mind.

He used to get hit quite easily until Peter sorted his defence and movement out. Peter also worked massively with Tyson on hitting home his jab harder, and to vary it.

The Tyson Fury that Sugar Hill worked with for the Wilder fight had so many more tools to his arsenal than the one Peter started training.

Without what he learned under Peter, he could never have done what he did with Sugar Hill.

Maybe re-watch the Canelo fight then? The commentators bring it up. They also bring up Smiths overall punch output for the division etc etc

Oh and maybe watch Smith's actual fights

I don't believe you've seen him fight, ironically

He was just lucky Ryan Garcia isn't a good boxer else he would've been knocked out by the same liver shot in the 1st rd if Garcia knew what he's doing. When you have the footwork & footspeed advantage, you don't need a high guy. All you need to do is move in & out.

Callum Smith had ridiculous height/reach advantage against Canelo yet couldn't use it & spent the whole night trying to survive.

Yarde and Dubois got beat up by left jab & didn't know what to do to negate it.

                      SMH. They all suck.
Just after getting up from the knockdown garcia delivered that body shot in the second which i beleive took a hell of a lot out of campbell go back and watch

Garcia is the real deal,i honestly didnt want him to be because hes a social media fanny and im old school but he is exceptional

Hes the best of the bunch at lightweight and he proved it last night
