Basically by any logical measure Canelo challenged himself more than Golovkin this weekend.
on paper and by the odds canelo obviously challenged himself more but i was really disappointed in smith
whether he was made to look bad by canelo or not im not sure but i expected more from him and ggg looked really good but there is no way to gauge his opponent

Again - the main point was wondering 1) how impressive Canelo's win was, because I don't know what to make of Smith right now

And 2) wondering what GGG still has left - he looked a lot like his old self vs Kamil, but we don't exactly know his level, and he also seemed to be a favorable matchup for GGG.

Well, the great thing about Canelo is that he will try to unify all the belts at 168 lbs next year. So we will get several chances to decide how impressive he really is against world class foes.

Golovkin on the other hand seems to be trying to find the weakest opponents he can get away with. So he might look spectacular against tomato cans like he has done for most of his career, but with no substance behind his performances.

You are the ONLY one who really thinks Simon Says would even stand a chance against Smith. I would bet you $20K+++ Smith beats pillow fists EASILY also.

The guy has 5 kos for a MW!!!! Let that soak in...
I didn't say Kamil would beat Smith lol. I said they MAY be around the same level, in their prospective weight classes. Even if they were, Kamil is at 160 and Smith 168.

I do know I wouldn't bet 1 dollar on Callum right now. I have no idea what to make of the guy. Can't remember a more precipitous drop, seemingly for no reason, in recent memory.

Not like we just found out the dude has no chin. He just hasn't been the same guy his last 2 fights.

I do find it funny that you call Kamil a can, when he is ranked 6th by the Ring, and Smith number 1, and that is the reasoning by which you rate Smith a great opponent.

So number 1 - great opponent
Number 6 - tomato can lol

In any event, it will be interesting to see where GGG, and Canelo, go from here.

Smith is the Ring champion. There is no ambiguity about that as there might be about simply being in the top 10.

And as I said there are other criteria that we can bring into play to further support the idea that Szeremeta is a can.

It will be interesting to watch where Canelo goes from here for sure. With Golovkin it may or may not be interesting, depending on if he chooses to challenge himself or not.

There is no ambiguity as far as Smith losing to Ryder either.

That last paragraph sounds like a woman's comment.

He was this big punching, big, strong athletic-enough guy. Now he looks like he can do hardly anything. Just wondering what the hell happened.

that is what we were saying when Golovkin got dished up by Derevyanchenko

Who has Groves beaten outside of Eurobums?

Fact is, the UK spends a lot of time promoting how deep boxing is there and in Europe, but it's obvious how small a pond it actually is.
