Cotto deserves this easy.
What names on Cottos resume are better than Froch or Kovalev?

Gatti got in because of his death. If he was alive at the time no way would he have got in.

He fought excellent fights (win or lose) against Mayweather, Pacquiao, Canelo, Martinez, Mosley just to name a few.....remember its not just about winning the fights it is the level he fought at and he held titles at 140, 147, 160.....how does he not deserve to be in there?

This one of the best Hall of fame inductions I've seen in a while.

It's true, he will get in eventually though I think
He’ll get in and he deserves to get in.

But he had no chance on this ballot.

This was one of the strongest ballots ever.

media would’ve voted him in regardless. They loved him. Gatti didn’t even have to wait 3 years for his name to be inducted because of his death but Camcho died in the same range more or less and he wasn’t allowed in until the full 3 yrs passed. Meanwhile Camacho was much better than Gatti, just not as beloved.

                  Judah. LOL

Says a lot about a fighter when Judah is considered one of his best wins.

Don't get me wrong, I like Zab a lot but he is a never was.

Plus, he was coming off 2 consecutive Ls vs Baldomir and Floyd.

After that loss, Mosley went on to destroy “the most feared man” in boxing, Margarito.

Floyd, Andre, & Wladimir were no brainers. Ann Wolfe & Laila Ali, no argument here.

Toney won titles at Middleweight, Super Middleweight, and Cruiserweight but his best wins were against a very good Michael Nunn & Jirov but also beat a 34 yr old McCallum, 33 yr old Barkley, and a version of Holyfield that wasn’t his former world beater self at 41 yrs old. Holyfield had lost to Chris Byrd before the fight with Toney and then lost to Larry Donald after the Toney fight. Toney also lost to Montell Griffin TWICE, Samuel Peter TWICE, lost to Roy Jones in his prime, and fought to a no decision and draw against Hasim Rahman.

With the busted PED withstanding, it’s a subjective call based on resume. I would vote Toney in but I can see if people wouldn’t based on how he performed in his biggest fights and his most impressive wins.

I kind of feel the same way about Cotto. He just seemed to come up short in his biggest career fights. And his most impressive wins aren’t against HOF’ers in their prime.

When Cotto beat Zab, he already had 4 losses and Zab came into that fight with 2 straight losses and a NC. Cotto beat Mosley who had 4 losses also, 2 to Winky & 2 to Forrest. We can chalk those off to bad styles for Shane but he was also 36 by the time he fought Cotto and Shane’s best wins after that loss to Cotto were against Mayorga & Margarito and he went on to lose to Manny, Floyd, & Canelo, & Anthony Mundine. Cotto beat Martinez on a bad leg and avenged a loss to Margarito who cheated in their 1st fight but Cotto came up short against Floyd, Manny, Canelo, and Austin Trout.

Like Toney, I would vote Cotto in but I can see why people wouldn’t vote Cotto in.
