Out of curiousity, why not? I think he barely makes it in due to the super six. He was excellent in that tournament.

Miguel Cotto should be in no questions asked. He fought everybody and anybody. He came back from getting beaten down with plaster wraps imo he fought a tougher resume than Ward by far.

Cotto? You guys high? Or Puerto Rican? Or both?

His 154 and 160 title runs were a farce, 160 especially

Miguel Cotto does not belong to HOF.
Yes he does he did a lot and had a great career fighting the best and gave quality all the way, one of the premier fighters of the last era.

He lost every big fight he was in

Unless you count Sergio Martinez as a great win.

Got emasculated by Margarito in the first fight. In the second fight he was lucky enough they stopped it when Margarito started to put it on him

His best win is Paulie Malignaggi

This dude is not a HOF

If he ever gets in by some miracle, it'll be because of the same reason Arturo Gatti got in

Also, keep in mind that it's easier for fighters in lower weight classes to win belts in multiple divisions. Cotto started at 140 and went up to 160, which covers four divisions. Ward started at 160 and ended up at 175, which covers three divisions. A fourth division for Ward would have meant moving all the way up to 200 lbs.

Ward is def a hall of fame boxer. Like I said, I am not knocking his resume.

Cotto is a solid boxer and had a great career.
If Gatti could get into the hall of fame with his not so great career, how in the world Cotto got snubbed?

To wit, Buddy McGirt got in last year, Michael Spinks got in 2018 - is McGirt’s career better than Cotto?

You probably have reasons why Mosley or Zab weren’t worthy wins for Cotto?
