    Judah. LOL

Says a lot about a fighter when Judah is considered one of his best wins.

Don't get me wrong, I like Zab a lot but he is a never was.

Plus, he was coming off 2 consecutive Ls vs Baldomir and Floyd.
Duran should not be in if you say that he lost to Leonard and Kirkland Laing

It’s not about the losses the impact you had on fans

Pac will get his one day tardos! Nobody will care about the hall of fame by then, it’ll just be a hall 😂 🥊 😂
Floyd will finance the event 😂

OK thanx, was wondering. Wiki and some other sources I checked still say 5 years.

Not really the same. Canelo failed at very low levels days apart. Toney failed after fights meaning he still had enough in his system to test positive, meaning he had a lot more during and before the fight and this was years apart. Has Canelo tested positive before or after that one incident? Canelo had enough in his system to test positive but not enough to really affect his body.

Then there is the fact that not all drugs are the same. Benavidez was suspended for ******* while Toney tested positive for a steroid. Canelo tested positive for a fat burner.

James Toney failed a drug test after he beat John Ruiz. He was clearly out of shape, recovering from a torn biceps and took the fight on 3-weeks notice. He embarrassed Ruiz with his ass crack hanging out of his pants. His fat ass stood in the pocket and embarrassed him with skill to the point that Ruiz announced his retirement immediately after the fight.

He stood toe-to-toe with Sam Peter in the first fight (I had it 9-3 for Toney), lighting him up with clean accurate shots in the pocket

He also embarassed Evander Holyfield in 2003 unlike anyone was able to do over the next 10 years until Holyfield retired, and that included Holyfield outclassing and deserving a decision against Valuev to regain the heavyweight championship for the umpteenth time.

I don't see how Holyfield and Mosley are first ballot HOF'ers (BALCO) but Toney isn't.

He might have abused his body and fought too long, but he is an all time great by any measure.

As far as I am concerned, James Toney's rise through the weight classes and his run at heavyweight in his mid-late 30s, especially how he continued to stand in the pocket, is one of the most impressive feats I've seen accomplished by a fighter.

              Legendary stuff.

His body broke towards the end (torn achilles and torn arm muscles), but that shouldn't count against him.

His resume at middleweight, super-middleweight and comeback at cruiserweight was already enough for him to be a first-ballot HOF'er. His heavyweight run was just icing on the cake to show how great he truly was.

One of the truest, realest fighters ever. He ducked no one, and several people ducked him, including Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Bernard Hopkins, Antonio Tarver and both the Klitschkos.

              They knew what was up.

I guess if you think that Toney's failed drug tests disqualify him, then fine, but drugs didn't make James Toney great. His skills did.

Reducing the retirement threshold from 5 to 3 years means it's a lot tougher for guys who have been on the ballot for ages, to get inducted now.

Cotto will get in definitely at some point, probably next year but to be a first ballot now is a tough race
Exactly and three years is still very fresh in our memories and the guys voting most likely saw their fights live instead of on old videos.
