    Fine, whatever.

    Current 168 pound title situtation

    WBA (Super): Smith
    WBA (Regular): Canelo
    WBA (Interim): David Morell (who?)
    WBC: Vacant
    IBF: Plant
    WBO: Saunders
    IBO: Vacant (lol)
    Ring: Smith
    Lineal: Vacant

Anything that reduces the number of "champions" is a good thing in my opinion. The winner of this will be the WBC, WBA (Super), and Ring champion and the (Regular) title becomes vacant. That's an improvement even if it's blatant favoritism from the WBC towards Canelo.

Ideally we'd get Plant vs Benavidez and then the minner vs the Canelo/Smith winner.

Grimey but at the same time, not mad at it. If it wasn’t Canelo in this fight I’d still agree with the WBC wanting to put their title in the mix with the ring champ defending. At the end of the day, this is Benavidez’s fault to begin with.

Not gonna hate on it. Makes the most sense. The number one guy in the division is getting the crack at it...as it should be tbh

Whoever wins this title is most likely gonna avoid Benavidez unless he gets the mandatory spot again(which most likely be the case). Hopefully Benavidez doesn't shoot himself in the foot again and get his spot back. He is a serious danger to anyone in and around his division.

No one is gonna pay Canelo over $20 million to fight Yildirim. Don't be ******.

I bet you acounts and throw in $1000 to your account and $50 this fight doesn't happen.

Not surprised at all by this. Canelo is the WBC Franchise champ and Smith holds the WBC Diamond belt for whatever thats worth. Shhaaat this is a super unification. The only belts left at 168 will be Plant's IBF and Saunders' WBO. Undisputed champ coming in 2021??
