If you want to pretend this isn't literally the most worthy fight at 168 & between the most worthy fighters to get a vacant belt then you're part of the problem not me. Yes the rules say the most worthy fighters (as in wbc beltholders) get to fight for a vacant title if the mandatory agrees, this goes for basically every org,& AJ did the same thing, the rules are actually good rules that state that when theres a vacant belt the diamond beltholder can petition to fight for it if its" whats considered good for boxing",this fight is the definition of that.

I HATE Sulaifatass as much as anyone but him making this for the vacant title only undeserving Yildirims no hoper ass would get to fight for is not why.

EVERY ORG MAKES UP RULES AS THEY GO ALONG EVEN IBF

To be fair, Ray isn’t a Canelo hater. He’s just being truthful about the WBC, BUT HE needs to acknowledge the other truth as you guys say, this is the best fight at 168 and logically makes sense

1.) Hearn petitioned to the WBC for Smith vs Yildirim because of Diamond Belt status.

2.) The WBC colluded with GBP to give Canelo the opportunity of the vacant belt with Yildirim because of Franchise status, though Canelo didn’t petition for it.

        3.) Plant said he overtrained...

4.) BJS said he needed more time

5.) Benavidez was stripped TWICE the WBC belt

6.) Haymon/Yildirim have agreed that winner faces Yildirim. That’s Yildirim forfeiting and agreeing his spot while another PBC fighter in Benavidez has to oblige under Master Haymon orders

7.) The Ring, Super WBA were already on the line.

        What’s the problem? Lol

Fans cried that Canelo would fight Yildirim. They didn’t care about the belt.

Fans begged for Smith vs Yildirim because he had Diamond Status. The difference here is that Haymon/Yildirim have agreed on everything.

        So again, what’s the problem?!

The problem is that Canelo haters hate circumstances that make sense. They’ll absorb all these circumstances and reply with “but Charlo doe...” “but Andrade doe..”

Speaking of Charlo, why didn’t Jermall already move up to 168 WBC dibs? What he think he would do as poor as Dirrell at 168? It’s obvious! Haymon is advising Charlo to stay at 160 as to he await what happens at 168. Easy breezy boxing politics

            Current 168 pound title situtation

            WBA (Super): Smith
            WBA (Regular): Canelo
            WBA (Interim): David Morell (who?)
            WBC: Vacant
            IBF: Plant
            WBO: Saunders
            IBO: Vacant (lol)
            Ring: Smith
            Lineal: Vacant

Anything that reduces the number of "champions" is a good thing in my opinion. The winner of this will be the WBC, WBA (Super), and Ring champion and the (Regular) title becomes vacant. That's an improvement even if it's blatant favoritism from the WBC towards Canelo.

Ideally we'd get Plant vs Benavidez and then the minner vs the Canelo/Smith winner.
If you list the IBO, why not the WBU or IBA etc?

Salute to Canelo for challenging Smith, and challenging himself! Jermall Charlo, take notes! Challenge Caleb Plant for his IBF title @ 168! Winner would probably get Canelo! David Benavidez, same goes to you! The path to Canelo, goes through Caleb Plant! Let's see who really wants that fight, from PBC!

Exactly. The WBC is crapping all over the other fighters.

Is there anybody who thinks Callum Smith can beat Canelo?

I am just asking because everybody pretends like this fight is something.

                      What would that matter?

Plant said he overtrained back before May.... then industry disclosed that PBC wanted to build the Plant fight PPV in 2021. The clock revolves around Canelo and what fans and industry expected before end of year, not what Haymon or Plant wanted.

BJS, decided to fight Murray. Callum said he’s been training for months. He said so himself and said he is ready.

Nobody wanted Canelo to fight Yildirim for the WBC title. Some fans even wanted Smith vs Yildirim and suggested that was fair because he had the WBC Diamond.

                      All these reasons exempt Canelo...

Nobody empathizes for Canelo with the failed matchmaking GBP and DAZN had done. Now Matchroom double dips and we get the fight that was supposed to happen anyways.

I guess fans are upset that Canelo hasn’t been affected his momentum with Covid? Is that his fault?

So who was Canelo supposed to fight?
