If you want to pretend this isn't literally the most worthy fight at 168 & between the most worthy fighters to get a vacant belt then you're part of the problem not me. Yes the rules say the most worthy fighters (as in wbc beltholders) get to fight for a vacant title if the mandatory agrees,this goes for basically every org,& AJ did the same thing,the rules are actually good rules that state that when theres a vacant belt the diamond beltholder can petition to fight for it if its" whats considered good for boxing",this fight is the definition of that.

I HATE Sulaifatass as much as anyone but him making this for the vacant title only undeserving Yildirims no hoper ass would get to fight for is not why.

First of all, the title wasn't vacant. Smith was making his third defense against Canelo. As for Andrade, he had defended the title once (while Canelo was fighting Lara), pulled out of a fight with Jermell, then was stripped due to inactivity and spent over a year out of the ring due to a lawsuit with his promoter because of the Jermell fallout. This notion that he was supposed to be a priority for Canelo is nothing more than a hater spun narrative.

Canelo created his own weight class at 155 called "Caneloweight" when he was Andrade's WBO mandatory. Once Andrade was stripped and the British can won the vacant title, Canelo miraculously found his was back to 154. Canelo claims he won't fight Andrade because of his "boring" style. GBP couldn’t even make Mayweather rematches with the WBC and WBA on lock down. Those belts weren’t even OFFICIALLY relinquished until 2016-2017 with Floyd wasting time with the orgs, not knowing Floyd’s recess or retirement.
