Nobody here has any idea if Smith has been training or if he hasn’t. If he hasn’t then he’s screwed because definitely he hasn’t had enough time to train. Doesn’t make it any less true to say it’s Smith’s fault for not training on the possibility of the fight being made.

More important tho, IMO, is the weight.

Anymore excuses when Canelo beats him?

Canelo Didn’t Request A Rehydration Clause

He always says that. He said it before Kovalev and he said it before Jacobs, he lied.

Only issue with the training time is that Smith will have a few days of jet lag or at least not being 100% as opposed to Canelo who will be on the same time zone the whole time.

And it's hard to get anything other than Tex Mex in San Antonio. So instead of ****ers and mash for breakfast Smith will be eating menudo.
            That's hard on the gut.

I saw his interview on DAZN and he claims he has been in training for a couple months while his team tried setting up a fight...any fight...in December. I don't think he was lying, although boxers say different stuff if they lose.

Cant post URL links for some reason but Eddie Hearn said it.

That's one. Keep going, give me 5.

How did their rematch go, btw, when Andy had months to prepare?

well cool, you should know much. But here's the thing, the fact that boxers fought 5/6 times a year back in the day meant that they didn't need a long camp as they were 'match fit' to use the lingo used in soccer.

These days, for whatever reason, boxers are only fighting twice a year so they get out of shape, lose their sharpness and timing.

But I agree that Smith shouldn't need 10 weeks for this fight because he's been one of the rumored opponents for months now. BJS on the other hand would need that amount of time.
