If you truly know boxing, then hydration clauses are wagers if you can compete at the weight, and you don’t have to agree to taking the fight. If you need more than 10lbs the morning of (the clause), then you’re draining. Most boxers on average rehydrate 10lbs from the scale to fight night for all classes except for HW.
Canelo already paid his dues his career with cutting weight at an early age. Basically his 154-155 days. Now he doesn’t have to worry as much at 168-175 because he’s already soft at the scale. A fighter shouldn’t care about Smith’s problem... he’s holding the Ring Belt and WBA Super. He wants those. Smith is in the way.
The truth is we all know Smith should be at 175. Tough luck. He made a choice and LUCKILY he’s making a final attempt while making a payday.
Too many fans complaining about nothing. Lol
