Honestly Callum name been in the running for a fight with Canelo for MONTHS so it is not like this opportunity came out of nowhere and like it was a random choice

It could work in his favor as well, why do people act like this is not short notice for Canelo also who has to prepare for Callum in the same amount of time

Canelo tried to make the fight with Callum Smith before but Smith priced himself out. As well DAZN wouldn't approve him as an opponent even though now they do for some reason.

And Canelo had no idea when his legal situation with Golden Boy would clear up. Yet he is a professional and kept training the whole time. Callum Smith should have been doing the same just in case he got the call.

My join date has nothing to do with the level of boxing knowledge being that I’ve watched boxing since Tyson was a teenager. Boxers of yesteryear fought every other week sometimes weekly. If you can’t get ready in 5 weeks you’re a pretender

They did fight every other week but they were against bums. You'd have to go back many decades to get world level boxing 6/7 weeks after they'd had a fight.

But they don't do that any more. So that has no baring on todays game.

And Ruiz had just come off a full camp and fight before he got the call up 6 weeks beforehand. He was in his best shape before a fight.

That is false. Hearn and Callum have said it was lies. He asked for his biggest payday, but he was asking for a lot less than Kovalev got.

And besides, that's the kind of money other opponents have got. So even if he did ask for that much, why would that be pricing himself out? Did Canelo think he could get Callum for a couple of Mill or something?

Canelo has known for months it was going to be against Callum. Remember, Canelo is the one who can get the fights whenever he wants. He knew Callum would take it 4 weeks out. All the while he's had a proper camp and sparring that Callum won't have. Plus Callum has to travel and get rid of the jet lag and make weight.

Canelo knows what he's doing here because he does this every time. We still don't know if he's put his usual weight restrictions in the contract to make Callum even weaker.

Canelo is a legit punk. Only Wilder and Ortiz are bigger frauds than he is.

He gets fights whenever he wants? Have you missed this entire year where he constantly struggled to get fights made with different opponents, Smith included?
