Joyce landed with a power jab right on Daniel's already badly swollen eye before he took that knee. He was done at that point, there was no power in his shots, no gas tank. He got that eye injury early in the fight and it caused him to panic which I think drained his energy. In between rounds 4 and 5 he was showing signs that he wanted out of there, breathing heavy and his corner had to give him a pep talk that early in the fight. Bad luck with the eye but it happens, he can rebuild but what I find more concerning is the fact he gassed so early and had no power on his shots from round 7.

Also Dubois is like Joshua, they have small noggins that have no punch resistance.
His jab was definitely excellent tonight. I picked him to stop DDD 20 mins before the fight, but by the 8th round I was concern he wouldn’t get the W if the fight goes the distance. Hence why I made that statement.

He definitely quit - but he is also only 23. So no he shouldn’t retire and anyone wanting him too may as well not be a fan of boxing because you will be left with some average talent if every loss you want a retirement!

Well, quitters will always quit. It's not like he was quitting Gerald Mclellean-style with a bleeding brain. Maybe he wanted to go home and play video games.

                  I love him.

Reminds me of a man I used to work at some dull as s.hit admin job he was a dude who just could not add any value to any conversation.

Another work mate had massive feet. So I asked him: you've got big feet what are they size 14?

Just small talk, that could hopefully lead to me giving him an offensive nickname.

But then the boring c.unt chipped in: 'My feet are size 9.'

                  1. Nobody asked you
                  2. Size 9 is literally the average size for uk male.

But there were thousands of instances like this. I sat next to him. Every day I had visions of just launching my computer monitor at him just to see how he'd react.

It is only now that I am in my 30's that I f.uckin love him. I wish he was my actual mate now.

People like are solid as rocks. With personality like rocks.

Dubois will be back and he will learn from this loss. He didn't stop because his eye was swollen shut...He quit because he was hurt in the previous round, he was exhausted and that last hard jab caused a severe pain in his eye. Had he continued fighting he would have been KO'd and possibly permanently damaged his eye...It's even a possibility that his eye has already been permanently damaged....He'll only know whether or not that is the case in a few days or weeks. Not every swollen shut eye is the same as all other swollen shut eyes. Everyone here is assuming that every single injury feels like other similar injuries. All injuries are not equal....even when they appear to be the same. Dubois was taking hard, accurate jabs to the eye constantly, throughout the fight. Couch potatoes are believing that Joe has the power of a little girl, apparently.
