I think this is a case of poor management from Warren - he did the same thing with Yarde.

Getting a young, hungry kid who looks the part but is VERY average at actually boxing, hyping them up way beyond their actual level and throwing them in with much more experienced / dangerous guys just for a payday.

Warren is desperate to stay relevant these days, and is risking careers just to keep his name up there.

Dubois best win was Nathan Gorman FFS.

This is why boxing went to sh***...you people are making excuses for quitters now days. Look at the old school fights, they'd rather die than quit. I know it's easier said than done but once you choose to be a boxer you know your life is on the line every time you enter that ring. Now if he keeps fighting you'll see him fight more European bums which will make him look good like they have done so far, that's the sh** you people enjoy watching.
Dying rather than quitting is dumb. These guys have families and a life outside of boxing.

Daniel Dubois faces a spell out of the ring after suffering a broken eye socket in his defeat to Joe Joyce on Saturday.

Confirmed broken orbital bone. You can criticise him for poor tactics or preparation but imo you can't really criticise him for bailing out on that. It's a serious injury. Honestly there's a strong argument for pulling out earlier than he did.

The same will happen to Hrgovic when he fights somebody who fights back. He won`t know what to do and he never fought more than 5 rounds.

An iron chin and an educated jab as well. And for them to fight that hard during Covid times and with the postponements and everything else going on is even more impressive.
100% ....I think these guys are problems for most heavyweights, athletic 6”5 plus guys fighting is a rarity back in the old days now it’s the norm . I was impressed with both ,Joyce didn’t even have his head trainer .

He was up on the cards but couldn't see it through. He quit when the going got tough. No better than JCC jr.
