yeah it counts, its pretty funny, when golovkin had a loss on his credit to canelo (even though he shouldnt) people say he was exposed at 36, yet when roy jones was getting knocked around that age apparantly it doesnt count, he was past prime. Fact is he got figured out, he wasnt all that old when people were beating him either.
