Roy, after Ruiz, should have taken cashouts with Lewis and Tyson and retire immediately . Then, continue boxing through exhibition matches like Floyd.
Does Jones legacy past 2003 count?

Unfortunately it does. But, most reasonable fans, of which there are not many these days, can see past those losses that came later in his career. Same way we look past the losses of Robinson, Griffith, Duran, and many others who stuck around a little too long.Comment

I agree, it just lets us know they're human too. Somebody once said to me imagine all the Fanboys that would be walking around singing yall must have forgot claiming Roy could beat Lewis Tyson and fury in the same night.Comment

It’s also easier to scrutinize his resume if you’ve never actually seen him fight. I watched him at his best as he made easy work of everyone between 160 - 175. I always wished he would have stopped at cruiserweight along the way to snag another title.Comment

That's what makes this fight next week so intriguing. The first old timers circuit ever. Maybe other than butterbean and Holmes on ppv. But this fight even 15 to ten years later, it holds weight man. Imagine all the talk when they bring up who won the frontlines battle? During covid. The name holds godly whoever wins. May the best man win.Comment

You have to admit though, Roy had his own thing going on like Tyson did. They both had a greatest hits series. Tyson's was more power (with speed) Roy's was more speed (with power). I thoroughly enjoyed watching his highlights video. I think Roy's style can only be broken down by the greatest minds in teainers. It's like max said "he's the best to have done it thru my eyes!"Comment
