It's great now. Most of the Wlad reign was boring, the 90's ridiculously overrated, but now, it's great. I watched Golota and Bowe 1 and 2 recently, this is prime Bowe, and boy, does he suck. If not for the DQ's he was losing both of those fights.

I know a lot of people loved watching Tyson KO electricians, builders and binmen, but I'm not one of those people.

It is a more entertaining ERA than Vitali and Wlad ERA so people overhype and overrated it but NO it is not a Good ERA but it is enjoyable to watch at least

I also think it will become a better and deeper division as long as Daniel Dubois, Hrgrovic, Tony Yoka, Jared Anderson, David Adeleye and other younger up and coming fighters live up to their Potential. DDD vs Joyce is a big match up in a few weeks for the Heavyweight Divisions, the winner will officially be in the Mix and deserves a shot at one of the Top Guys!

The skill level isnt the best but its the most entertaining and high profile era that we've had since the early 00s.

basically its a division dominated by european fighters so that now makes it a 'weak division' in eyes of mexicans and americans. you can bet if bum squad had knocked out joshua and fury he'd be p4p number 1 tho.

In many ways it’s underrated because its euro dominated, not enough hispanic trash cans and loud mouth black guys to sell it to the American audience. I mean Andy Ruiz was a flash in the pan but is he really worse than say a top 8 welterweight like Danny Garcia? Which division has 4 potential hall of famers currently active?

You got people in other divisions like tank Davis being hyped up as the future of boxing because he beat up some hispanic bums when he has faced and beat less top 5 fighters then dillian whyte. You got guys like Spence and Crawford being hyped up as the best in the sport without even facing let alone beating future hall of famers like fury has and they’re most or less the same age range. Watch when AJ beats Usyk, Usyk will be an overrated euro bum that’s too small for the division while Lopez gets hyped as p4p great with a worse resume just for beating loma.

It’s also funny how as soon as the UK and US got some champs the heavyweight division was supposed to be an improvement from the Wlad era when you have old men from the wlad era like pulev and povetkin still being top contenders.

The young athletes that in the past would have tried boxing coming up have no interest in the sport.
They now play football and basketball or get into MMA for combat competition.

That's a myth mate. Mike Tyson wasn't beating would-be basketball or NFL players. People get into things they are good at. Those who can fight get into boxing or MMA, those who can play basketball try and get into basketball, those good at football try and get into football. Please, everyone, let this myth die.

****** yanks and thinking nothing is great because they’re not involved.

Yes, it was better when 45-yr old Foreman and 43-yr Larry Holmes were beating bums to become world champions. I guess the overrated Mike Tyson that never beat any top boxer is the best thing since slice bread. Lennox Lewis the best in the 90s got knocked out twice by two average boxers. And Holyfield the 2nd best in the 90s lost to Bowe whose career got ended by a bum and lost to an average boxer in Moorer.

F...uck out of here. This is the best era since the 70s!
