It’s Mayweather’s word that RJJ should be calling out, especially with the way he is promoting Tank Davis.

Vacant title fights, 3 or his last 4 opponents would have been moving up to face him (Leo Santa Cruz included), so yes Mayweather was chatting BS in regards to too many belts because his fighter Davis has a fake one on him... And he himself isn’t even sure which belts he is fighting for tomorrow...

That’s how bad it’s got right now...
    He's not.........

The subject came up so he made an opinion on it.

    End of story

In the day, EVERYONE had Roy rated above Floyd. When both were in their primes, Roy was P4P king.

*edit. He did become undisputed at Light Heavyweight upon me checking which is pretty big. It wasn't a strong Era he fought in but he deserves.credit for that..
Roy Jones Jr. was promoted as the undisputed light heavyweight champion by HBO after unifying the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles in June 1999, for which he was also competed awarded The Ring championship title in 2002. However, two of those titles (WBA and IBF) had been stripped from Dariusz Michalczewski, who had unified them with his WBO title by beating the lineal champion Virgil Hill in June 1997, and subsequently remained unbeaten, defending his remaining title, until his first loss in October 2003.

I think he should had wrong there and stayed but he did it for the money and it Ruin his career. Never was the same after leaving heavyweight.

Every single expert had prime Roy rated far above prime Floyd. In their primes there was no comparison, Floyd wasn't even close and Floyd most definitely knew it.

If both Floyd and Roy were the same size in their prime, Floyd would’ve won, Roy never faced a fighter as cunning, smart, defensive with cat like reflexes and sharp counter punching!

How you beat prime Roy was you timed him, he was too fast and hit too hard to exchange with him so you time him and Floyd would’ve done it!

The concept of having even more than one single champion is counterintuitive to the entire idea of what a champion is. The champ is supposed to be the best. Period. No peers. You can't have 4 "bests" ... I'd give anything to see boxing go back to 8 divisions and 1 champ per division. It's diluted AF and has been for a long time.
But Floyd was about the money and staying undefeated by picking fights. You seriously think if he was champion in a "one-belt" era he would be taking on all-comers. In that situation - you really have the fight the best. There's no 4 belts to dilute the pool of challengers. And there will be huge criticism/pressure if you take easy fights

I agree with Floyd but there's a reason he's saying it now he's fan looking on and not a fighter anymore lol

The evidence speaks for itself. Roy was not able to beat not even a journey man when his athleticism left him. What made me realize Roy lacked technical abilities and ring IQ was the Calzaghe fight. Roy was throwing the same punch the entire fight and Calzaghe was outsmarting and outthinking him. Roy could not adapt for the Calzaghe fight.

Calzaghe made Roy looked basic. He was not setting traps, he was Jabbing properly, and he couldn't cut off a ring to save his life. When he fought against low level fighters he was able to use his athletic ability to overwhelm them, but not with good technical fighters.
