Look nvm, i can't make you understand the sport. Is Floyd gifted? Certainly. He's fast, has very good reflexes and has even proven to take a punch too. But the things he does are done based on preparation and a LONG, LONG time in the gym to perfect it. If you know Floyd like you should as a fan, you would know that he was literally boxing in diapers. Literally!
Hard work! Dedication! (Not natural ability)

The things I mentioned were IQ, Stamina, chin and athleticism. Those are god's gifts in making a talented boxer. Those are things you can't really trained in a person. Roy has only stamina and athleticism.
Roy, like Floyd, also started at a young age. It is documented that Roy started at 6 years of age. Floyd is the all around better talent. I never mentioned anything about technique being included in talent. Floyd's biggest asset is to adapt. That is something Roy has proven that he can't do. It shows a master IQ in Floyd. It also takes a high IQ to learn technique and apply them accurately and effectively.
Roy was riding on pure athleticism. Roy wouldn't slip a punch, but rather leap away from it. He didn't pick his shots, but shoeshine a lot off mere speed and quickness. When his athleticism left him he became a sitting duck.
