Roy sounds butt hurt. Roy, the media never asked you about Floyd, so leave that grudge by the wayside.

That is debatable. In my opinion Floyd is more talented, but Roy had more athletic ability.

Even at 51, Jones is still more exciting to watch than Mayweather. Not as rich, but way more fun!

As a once top dog of the sport, Fighter of the Decade, and Hall of Famer, RJJ should side with Mayweather because what Mayweather said is true and fixing it would help the sport and it would help clear confusion.

I think Roy carried his power up with him, Floyds power went down as he went up in weight, Roys LH resume has two quality guys Virgil Hill who was done and off a loss and Tarver who KOed Roy, the rest were B graders, Floyds resume as far as quality opponents is a better than Roys if you want to boil it down.

I dont think there is anything between them as far as elite boxing goes only Roy had power give Floyd his PBF power at WW and its a game changer.

            Both great fighters .

it is debatable. I think Floyd had better skill, but say Roy was more talented based on reflexes, speed, movement.

If I'm comparing careers, Floyd falls in the 1-25 Greatest of all Time, Roy in the 26-50. Crazy to say, there have been two athletes in my life that just seemed to rise above everything, were so much better than everyone at the time and that was Roy Jones and Roger Federer. I wouldn't say that about Floyd or Manny, both of whom have had in my opinion better careers than Roy.

i got roy here.. roy is entertaining and can showcase his punches. has a good taunts compared to just an elusive fighter. floyd might be good as defensive fighter but is really boring. skills and talent shows when you can do both defense and offense the whole night.

Roy Jones is right, he's NOT like Mayweather. Roy fought well past his prime getting knocked out by lesser fighters because he went BROKE!

Roy Jones is a textbook example of why young fighters need to use their money wisely because tomorrow is coming and tomorrow doesn't care if you saved your money or spent it all. You don't want to be that guy in his 40's getting knocked out by guys in their 20's because you used your money foolishly!

Mayweather still has millions and will never fight another conventional boxer to make money.

That's why we have numerous belts in boxing in the first place, to make fights more meaningful and unification fights huge, granted that the promoters find a way to make these unification fights happen. If the promoters don't want the fight though, having too many belts per division becomes a curtain they can hide behind instead if an opportunity for unification, and that's what's happening right now.

Also these organizations getting greedy with the sanctioning fees in a sport where there isn't a whole lot of money left to pay everyone doesn't help motivate unification fights.
