Meh, back in the 00s the mainstream media didnt even cover it. The rare times it was mentioned it was "human **** fighting" "cage fighting" "barbaric" " should be banned" etc disdain. Now they all give it serious coverage. Even the BBC covers it for ****s sake. Its not like how it used to be where boxing was an establishment sport while the UFC was an outsider thing.

Yes ufc undercards blow boxing undercards right out the water

And I’m not even a fan of all the wrestling/grappling

Too often with boxing undercards you hope for an early KO so the main event can get started sooner

I hate that as well. Those fights definitely hurt the quality of the card as a whole and they are basically on every card. Keep those guys off television. It’s an easy fix to a massive problem yet it continues. Annoying.

With a UFC card you can sit down and watch the whole thing. With boxing you get up and go do something else during the duds.

Yeah this is spot on its the worst on British cards when you see I dunno Matthew macklin vs a durable Slovenian and you know that's going 12 dreadful rounds.

I think its also that even if you get a ****ty fight in MMA at least its over relatively fast. A regular 3 rounder takes up as much time as 5 boxing rounds, even a championship fight is a little shorter than 9 rounds of boxing.

Seeing two random dudes that nobody gives a **** about coasting along in 10 or 12 rounders with no knockdowns or anything really happening is ****ing horrible.

I don't like or really watch UFC but if it is beginning to dominate Boxing then Boxing is doing the damage to itself. When you got the likes of Bob Arum dismissing fights like Lopez v Haney for undisputed just to suit himself or Al Haymon talking Wilder out of 120 Million and an undisputed fight to suit himself.

There is no reason why Boxing AND MMA can thrive at the same time.

I'll feed the troll. Loma-Lopez did almost 3 million viewers.

Sure the PPV buys are good and some of those fights were disappointing. Usman vs Masvidal ******. I would rather watch Floyd vs Oscar than that trash.

The UFC does do a great job at making sure that everything about it is positive and making boxing negative at the same time.

No doubt & I always try to mention how there isn't really a boxing vs MMA battle going in.

The only thing stopping boxing from thriving as much as it could be is the guys profiting off of boxing the most currently.
