UFC killing boxing and taking all the remaining fans

Listen, boxing's been so boring i've been wanting to gauge my own eyes out, but meanwhile UFC has been murdering the game in the entirety of 2020 and particularly during lockdown.

    Look at these PPV numbers:

    UFC 254 - 675k. Legend Khabib retired
    UFC 253 - 700k (Adesanya)
    UFC 251 - 1.3m (Masvidal vs Usman)
    UFC 249 - 700k (Gaethje vs Ferguson)
    UFC 246 - 1m (McGregor)

Boxing can barely pull a couple of guys together these days, I mean *** me Lopez vs Lomachenko was watched by 1272 people according to good sources.

        Khabib only did that?

        A lot lower than expected.

Yeah but it was intentional to suit the russian fans. It was on at 2pm or something U.S time so not ideal for PPV.

I'm sure it killed on BT sport PPV though

Even during the Floyd & Pac days it was those two basically carrying boxing on PPV while the UFC was doing good numbers every few weeks with a bunch of different fighters. The UFC still does that but now boxing doesnt have Floyd, and so far in Corona times theres also been no Pac, no Canelo, No Joshua, no Fury, no Spence etc either so its no surprise they're trouncing boxing on PPV.

The UFC has become to MMA what the NFL is to football or the NBA is to basketball.

Boxing still is a bunch of mice scurrying in the dark for cheese instead of becoming the monolith sport it could be if it leaned into putting boxing on a pedestal instead of trying to cash in to maximum potential with each big fight.

You definitely get more value for money for UFC events. The cards always provide lots of entertainment.

Even though I’m a boxing fan more than MMA I find undercard fights usually more enjoyable in MMA. Nothing more boring than two midgets you never heard of both with a 30% KO ratio fighting for 10 rounds
