Yes, yes he does...he was mandatory to Loma..and Loma decided to go for the franchise belt to avoid him. Therefore as far as im concerned he ducked Haney and didn't honour the mandatory fight, under normal circumstances he would get stripped.

We can be critical and joke about Fox not acknowledging WBO Champions but ESPN does the same dumb shet because its defacto sports platform is so mainstream and commercial that it doesn’t care for the purity?

There must be consistency. If the WBC Franchise Champion and its perk doesn’t have to do mandos then it should mean that he or she isn’t the real champion. Does this mean Lopez automatically becomes Franchise Champion should he beat Lomachenko? What does Haney become?

This fight is for the undisputed lightweight championship of the world. Any boxing fan who doesn't think so is an idiot. Haney is not a champion. He is one of those jr champions like Rocky Fielding that Canelo used to get a bogus title at 168.Haney is a top contender but has absolutely no claim to being the lightweight champion of the world. for Haney to be the real lightweight champion of the world he must beat the winner of the Loma vs Lopez fight. Loma worked hard to beat all other legit title belts holders so he could be the undisputed champion and he is one win away from achieving that goal and here you come trying to fuc that up. GTFO. Haney is defending his phony title against washed up old Gamboa who is coming into the fresh off a one sided KO loss. so ****ingwhat? loma legitimately won the belt so he's the real champion. wbc happens to be corrupt and created a franchise belt to collect more sanctioning fees. in their rules though the franchise champion is at a higher level than the regular champ so what's so complicated in saying loma-lopez is for the undisputed title. if the wbc didn't pimped that franchise belt, loma is the regular champ and haney is still fighting bums and old past prime fighters

Instead of debating who is the champ because WBC is screwing with everyone while being greedy, we should stop acknowledgement of all their belts and make them irrelevant.

undisputed is ******. there is always going to be a dispute with so many belts, interim belts, mandos, contenders who are none of those, etc...hes fighting the best guy in the division. thats all. haney and the next best guy should fight for the next shot but thats not how boxing works and so we just have to guess who is the next best based on hype

my point is why should anyone care who the wbc champ is? or who the wba champ is? etc etc...it literally doesnt mean anything. it means maybe you beat someone good or maybe not. it doenst give us enough info
