If Charlo is "stepping up" there should be no false narratives about Derevyanchenko being a damaged fighter. You can't have it both ways. There is nothing that indicates Derevyanchenko is a shot fighter. It's just an excuse to discredit Charlo if he wins.

If this fight was 3 months after the Golovkin one then it would matter. But he's had a year to train, recover the right way. It was a competitive fight not a one-sided beating, tough fight but not as brutal as some make it seem

first, fighters do that, wait till others get beaten up in order to step up. second, i was talking about some fans (read some of the comments in this thread) that seem happy that charlo is fighting derevyanchenko now after those two fights, i never said that it was my belief that sergyi was damaged or anything.

No he wouldn't... Styles make fights don't you know this? Sergey's movement and inside fighting was all wrong for Golovkin.

Canelo on the other hand - regardless of Golovkin's age will not be able to slip the well timed and fast power jabs, and lets face it, if he plans on fighting him again as he did in the rematch he'll be eating jab sandwiches yet again. Its not as if Canelo can knock him out is it? Golovkin has the best chin in boxing.

I do recall thinking GGG did poorly and Derevyanchenko overworked him by a mile when it came to hard, scoring blows. GGG as always threw and landed a ton of jabs. Worked for him on the scorecards here but doesn’t work for him vs Canelo. Really it should always be like that, fight goes to the guy who lands more power shots, telling blows, head snapping blows, in more rounds. He should get the win.

Must be heartbreaking when you land more power punches on your opponent for 11 rounds to 1, but your opponent gets the nod because he landed more jabs.
Thank *** you're not a judge! Is a jab not a punch? We all know Golovkin's jab is not a standard jab - its a stiff ramrod power jab that he steps into with the whole of his body weight. If GGG threw a standard jab he would not be scoring knockdowns with it, regularly snapping opponents heads back with it or able to control the distance with it.

Boxing is about SCORING punches that hit the opponent - it doesn't matter what variety they are. If you outwork your opponent in any capacity you should get the favored scoring. Fortunately for Golovkin one of his best weapons is his jab which also happens to be powerful. Canelo is often aggressive
but his work rate drops off as we witnessed in the rematch where although his intentions and ring generalship were good, he just couldn't slip Golovkin's well timed jabs which were routinely piercing through his guard.

Lol are you actually mad? The world saw Golovkin clearly beat Canelo 116-112 in the first fight and probably win the rematch or at the very least earn a draw.

Golovkin was not hurt on any occasion in the rematch. Canelo was hurt TWICE - in rounds 10 & 11. Sorry... these are facts.

literally no one, not even the gggroupies, think golovkin can do better now....theres no real demand for the 3rd fight other than DAZNs desperation...yet these losers will still try to perpetuate the canelo is "ducking" narrative...its no suprise...theyve excused every career move golovkin has ever made and never blamed him for anything and always pointed the finger in someone elses direction.....nothing new with these twats

when they thought danny jacobs was ducking because he was asking for more money they called him everything in the book...chicken...overrated "he got dropped by mora FFS who does he think he is".....then when the fight got made and golovkin didnt look so great they elevated jacobs to a top tier fighter...lol
If the shoe was on the other foot I can 1000% guarantee to you that a 38 year old Canelo would want absolutely no part of a prime 30 year old Golovkin. Golovkin is still game and wants to fight Canelo, we both know it wouldn't be the case if it was the other way round. Canelo is a fighter who has always had and needs protection in a variety of ways.

All cards stacked against Derevyachenko but that is more the reason I want him to win.

                      Jacobs, Golovkin and now Charlo.

Derevyachenko, USYK and Loma make boxing proud. Huge fan of all 3 and hoping Derevyachenko pulls it off in convincing fashion.
