So why aren't Golden Boy and DAZN living up to their contract? Canelo has been trying to get a date for a fight since June. This isn't a case of Canelo refusing to fight. This is a case of neither Golden Boy or DAZN giving him a fight.

Depends on whether or not his contract with Golden Boy has a non-compete clause, meaning he couldn't fight anyone without GB's permission.

If he wanted to fight GGG it would be on , simple as that. He’s openly said he doesn’t want to fight GGG

He agree to fight GGG after he won the belt from Sergiy and GGG said no. GGG said he wanted to fight the dude he's still scheduled to fight and they agreed to fight in September 2020 but obviously Covid messed it up.

What fraud on Golden Boys part? Canelo is asking for the full sum as agreed on and DAZN is saying no.

He has a contract with Golden Boy to pay him that sum not DAZN. Golden Boy is responsible for paying Canelo and getting him fights. They aren't doing their job on either end

Exactly, which was Team Canelo is suing DAZN and Golden Boy for breach of contract. So far they haven't given any fights so could uphold his end of the deal he's made.

Does anyone really think he has much of a case? Unless the contract explicitly says against any fighter of his choosing it’s doubtful he could win any legal case. The contract implies that dazn should have a deciding part of having a certain quality of opponent given the substantial investment they are making if that isn’t included

None of us have seen the specifics of the contract so this thread has become largely dominated by canelo lover boys unfortunately.
