are you serious? who do you think puts the fight on the pay per view and decides the broadcast and the like.

now the fans do decide whether to buy it but once they once they decide to put it on. it's on. you know like a movie on demand. it's there whether you personally buy it or not

I think age can catch up to a fighter with so many AM fights. And I see Lopez as a natural 140 pounder vs Loma a natural 130 pounder. But my pick is till Loma by decision. He has to avoid getting dropped. If he gets dropped a couple times, it could be a hard deficit to overcome.

I feel the weight cut already has been affecting Lopez and he may not be as effective as he was in earlier fights since he himself had even said that he was going to move to 140 soon since it's getting hard staying at 135. Another thing is that Loma's father is ten times a better trainer than Lopez's dad who is basically Angel Garcia 2.0. I wouldn't be too concerned of Lopez's power since he already has shown he has trouble with opponents who can box. Sooner or later the KO streak comes to an end and Lopez tends to fade in the late rounds. I also got Loma by UD. Lopez is just too inexperienced and rushed. This fight could either make him better or it can destroy him mentally

Arum acknowledged that Lomachenko and Lopez accepted lower purses for their bout than they expected to make before the coronavirus crisis changed boxing’s economic model. Top Rank’s founder pointed out, though, that the Ukrainian southpaw and the Brooklyn-based knockout artist still will receive more money than the minimum purses to which they’re contractually entitled.

Loma is not guaranteed to make more than $3m per fight dumb dumb. He has a contract minimum which is clearly less.

He didn’t “gift” lopez anything. Lopez rejected the 1st offer and got himself 20% more than the initial offer.
Its been reported multiple timesby multiple outlets that Lomachenko took an additional pay cut to make this happen so who is lying to who?

Its also been reported multiple times that Lomachenko will be make 3.25 and Lopez 1.5.

It's also been reported that ESPN only gave Arum 4.7 million. Do the math dumb dumb.

          3.25+1.5 = 4.75

          Wow. Amazing! Wow. Spectacular.

Oh thats right, I remember. You were in the room when the contracts were signed. lmfao isn't that right?

BTW. Many boxers make more than what their contracts (for a fight, not their promotor) state, but clealry you don't understand that.

For example Canelos officials purse vs GGG was only 5 million but ended up making 42 million.

Lomachenko made 3.25 million vs Anthony Crolla FFS

But no, he ain't making anywhere near 3 million lmfao as his guarentee.

          Here's a quote from Arum

“Loma has a contract and he’s already given us relief. He’s fighting for less than his contract says because he gets it. I’m not in the business to lose money. If they turn down a record contract for him, nothing I can do. On to the next.”

But noooo. Goldie. Its not real because im your mind it can't be true so. Its impossible.

I wonder how your sick twisted mind will find a way to spin this because everyone knows you hate facts.

Watch you come back with "Arum is a liar I dont believe him" he's a snake. Blah blah blah.

How does a biased person describe how a neutral person reacted to Lopez request for more money and potential loss to Loma? Based on your post you don't like Lopez so your bias disqualifies you from such a perspective.

So you don't see the conflict between Bob's statements. The article you quote says Loma is fighting for less than his contract minimum, however in this article Bob says that Loma is still making more than his contract minimum.

“I’ve never, in this whole time with the pandemic, asked a fighter to take an amount less than that is in their promotional contract. And what we’re talking about many times, at least in Lopez’s case, is more than we were required to pay under terms of the contract. So, even though they would get less than they anticipated, it’s more than their contracts provide [for minimums].”

This is such a bizarre and twisted way to look at things. Does saying he wants to fight Loma mean he forfeits his right to negotiate for money he believes is fair?

How did he try to price himself out? He asked for more, got it, and the fight got signed.

He didn't insult everyone with that statement. Everyone easily understood what he meant. Only those with some kind of axe to grind are taking that comment to the extreme.

I don't understand what 140 has to do with this negotiation.

On the flip side I hope boxing fans step up and support those who made the fight.

You complain about big fights not being made. Then you complain about them being on PPV and stream it illegally. Then you complain about them being on cable and steam it illegally. Then you complain about them being on streaming services and install an ad blocker.

You either step up and support the fights you want to see or eventually they will stop being made altogether. Especially with live gates out of the equation.

All you quote has proven is that Lomachenkos guarantee is less or equal to 3.5 million and that Lopez has a guarantee that is less than 1.2 million.

Arum had originally slated Lomachenko to make 3.5 million and Lopez 1.2.

Arum had said it was a take it or leave it. Why? Possibly because Lomachenko has a big guarantee?

Top rank reportedly only received 4.7 million for the fighters. The math adds up.

                      3.5+1.2 = 4.7

That is also stated in the article. Its also been reported that Lomachenko gave 250k to make Teos purse an even 1.5 because Teo refused to accept the offer Arum had said,

at least in Lopez’s case, is more than we were required to pay under terms of the contract. "

Arum said he never asked anyone to take a pay cut from their contractual guarantee. But it was reported that Lomachenko himself took a voluntary cut. That means Arum probably didnt ask him because you can't make money out of thin air.

So can both quotes be true? YES

Bob could have asked Lomachenko to take his bare minimum, 3.5, and would still be telling the truth because he didn't ask Lomachenko to take less.

It was at that point Lomachenko personally chose to take less because he understood that there was only 4.7 million available. So he gifted 250k to Lopez who, according to your quote, is making much more than his own guarantee.
