This fight would not be happening unless Lopez got a bit more than $1.5MM, so that part of the article is not accurate. I believe he's getting closer to $2.5MM. All in all, Bob is still lying and talking out of his a** as usual.

Kudos and major props for ESPN in stepping up to the plate to make this fight happen. It would have been to expensive to put it on Pay Per View in light of this pandemic.
Top Rank would have lost a lot of money had they forged ahead without a live gate. It's good to see the networks like Disney and Viacom pull together by increasing their licensing fees to fighters.

That Teofimo Lopez is worth paying more and Crawford isn't?
I'll wait

Just give us quality fights consistently through the lockdown.
So I'll ask.
Where do you expect the money to come from to pay
- the ring setup crew
- the network(s)
- the fighters
- the managers
- the cornermen
- the medical attendant(s)
- the promoter(s)
- the venue
- the city (licensing)
- the drug testing
- the letter org(s)
- the commission
- the ref
- the judges
...?
Or do you expect that you can pay top level competition based only on ad revenue at a time when TV is at an all-time low and streaming ads are easy to block or skip?
Just curious.

You’ve just summed up the word dumb.

loma is the best fighter teo will have ever faced...for certain
but maybe lopez is the best package of a fighter that loma will have faced in the pros..and if he is it could prove to be pretty tough night maybe even resulting in an L for loma
