To BS? Really? The whole basis and fundamentals of boxing is to make weight! That’s where it all starts. Boxers box. Champions are disciplined and make weight every time on the scales.

Dang. That really sucks. I feel for Angulo. He has to go against an offensive powerhouse who is going to have an weight advantage and he was already a big underdog going in.

As for Benavidez, it seems he is going to have to move to 175 due to his height. I don't think it was laziness but rather his age forcing his body to finally put on weight. Dude has always been lanky at the weight with nearly no muscle whatsoever.

I don't forsee a move up to light heavy be detrimental. In my opinion it will finally allow him to develop even more power than he has.

Benavidez thought fighting in the "Protected-Boys-Club" (PBC) would protect the scales too, like the match-ups... been sipping too much cognac with Haymon & Spence...

At 23 the weight should be able to drop off him. If he's missing the mark now by over 2lb then it doesn't bode well for his future at SMW.

Not sure how dedicated he's been in camp. He's a fair old lump but whichever way you cut it, that's a silly school boy error for a WBC champ.

Dude was delaying taking on the best at 168 and now might not be able to get back down. Will it be like the Zurdo situation where he floats around 175 killing time waiting for someone else to upset Beterbiev so he can collect a vacant title?

Agreed. I don't think it was about discipline this time around. He was always a big SMW so i'm not totally surprised that might've struggled to make weight. But it looks really bad missing it by almost 3 lbs. Most likely it's just time for him to move up. Sucks bc all the interesting matchups for him are at SMW.

Drugs and missing weight isn't "BS" It's lack of dedication.

A bad undisciplined look (again)for Benevidez.
He doesn't have a title to move forward to a fight with Plant so might as well just move up to 175 sooner rather than later.
