Man I dig the fook outta Benavides among the next generation of guys, but he seems destined to fook up his own trajectory. His brother seems like an a$$hat so I guess he's gotta have some of that same dna or some of that dummyness influencing him so I guess at some point I need to quit being disappointed.Comment

This dudes not trying to be great. He’s just a thug with a drug habit that happened to walk inside a boxing gym.Comment

This is sad. I really want to like this kid, but he doesn't seem mature. Losing the same belt without losing a fight speaks a lot to his lack of discipline and character. Instead of being a weight bully, why not just move up to 175, which is probably his natural weight class? I get the impression these guys at 168 really don't fancy having to face Bivol or Beterbiev.Comment

He can still fight, but no doubt the seriousness he exhibits towards boxing 24/7/365 & his overall dedication make him less likely to be able to challenge Canelo one day or I'd even argue to get that fight in general.
And not unlike with young Broner at some point "youthful mistakes" stances just become "I think he's just r3tarded/self destructive/don't give a fook" stances.Comment
