it seems that the kid doesn't give a fuck... maybe he's waiting the post-Covid era to earn some bigger money...

As for Benavidez, it seems he is going to have to move to 175 due to his height. I don't think it was laziness but rather his age forcing his body to finally put on weight. Dude has always been lanky at the weight with nearly no muscle whatsoever.

I don't forsee a move up to light heavy be detrimental. In my opinion it will finally allow him to develop even more power than he has.
What?? It was absolutely due to laziness! He knew the fight was coming up and he knew he was overweight during training camp. It is the fighter's responsibility to make the weight for his class. To lose his belt because he failed to make weight is inexcusable.

He doesn't have a title to move forward to a fight with Plant so might as well just move up to 175 sooner rather than later.
A fight vs Plant doesn't have to be a unification bout to be a big fight. That is still a really quality fight, WBC belt involved or not.

The kid belongs at light heavy, he was already fat 230 pounds at the age of 14 and is 6 foot 3 So you know he kills himself to make weight.

All that talk about taking on Plant and Canelo is gone. He no longer has leverage. Perhaps a showdown with Zurdo could be a possibility. Maybe at a catch-weight as well. I think both those guys would fight without it being a title bout
