Keep following this story and see how it ends. This fight will NOT happen at this split % level. Not a chance.

Loma is not as exciting or as popular as you think in the US, and most casuals couldn't care less about him. I don't care how many social media followers he has that are almost all in Ukraine or Europe. If this fight was held in Kiev, the tickets would go for less than $5.

Lopez is a young, skilled American KO artist, who deserves more respect than 25% or so.
Fair enough. Maybe Staples wasn't full. It's still pretty good for a weekday. I'm a bit confused too because it had been announced that there were more than what was reported by Goodman. He's the only source, too.

Anyhow, the point is that I do believe Loma's draw is being undervalued and Teofimo's is being overvalued. Maybe if Teofimo had been on the US Olympic team instead of Honduras it would have been different. But he is definitely being overvalued right now.

He's asking for too much for his first unification bout at lightweight. Asking for too much, too soon.

Also, I heard that this was an Arum "take it or leave it" offer. So we'll see what happens next ....

I think I saw Freddie Roach saying it looked packed

If you go and watch the fight, you can see it looks pretty full
Brotha, the live gate was like 500k for the fight. Let's please not do this.

1.2 million is a lot in these times. It would be foolish to miss out on this opportunity. Who else is he going to make 1.2 million against?!

Guy talked so much trash and was so confident in himself to predict a KO of Lomachenko but now ran away with his tail tucked between his legs.

Take the fight. The fans have waited long enough. Loma has waited long enough. You, Lopez, claimed to be waiting too. Now is the time.

You hate Loma. You have no respect for him. He's little. He's a little diva. You predict a KO. You're the next star.

        Come on man. Take it.

Let's do this. You'll look foolish. You want to carry on?

More than half of the Staple's Center was filled on a weekday for the Lomachenko vs Crolla fight

          Attendance: 10,101
Lomachenko knocked out Crolla face-first with a right hand in the fourth round in the main event of the Top Rank Boxing on ESPN+ card before a crowd of 10,101 on the first anniversary of the streaming service's launch. Lomachenko was as dominant as ever as he retained his title for the second time.Apr 13, 2019

Lomachenko crushes Crolla by knockout in 4th - ESPN.com

It was pure domination for Vasiliy Lomachenko, who sent Anthony Crolla face-first to the canvas in the fourth round to retain his unified lightweight world title.

Moral of the story: Don't believe everything you read on Twitter.

This is it!!! It is now put up or shut up time.

It does annoy me no end how these challengers both want the opportunity to fight for titles but also have these entitled demands on purses. You fight for the right to be the king but until you do so, you get less. When you are king, you determine how much your opposition gets.

Mayweather took the short-end to get the opportunity to fight Goldenboy. Once he won that fight he was the king. Do you think any Mayweather opponent after that got anything approaching one-third of his purse?

Same with Canelo. Smith is begging for 5 million while Canelo makes 30-35.

The lesson is simple, if you want to earn the big money, beat the king. Otherwise you can simply sit in the corner talking about how you Couldda/Wouldda/Shoudda.

I was surprised and disgusted when Golovkin demanded 50/50 with Canelo. I thought he didn't deserve even 25%. We saw what happened. GGG with his bum of the month is worth $16 mil now.

              Let's cool down here.

You're talking to the wrong guy with this. I'm not going to entertain this. Go search up one of the threads where I put the commission report...And not the fake announced attendance that every promoter puts out.

Fair enough. I've messed up my workout hanging out on the forums. In the meantime, maybe we can all agree to disagree BUT NEVERTHELESS agree to hope this fight get's made for October 3.

                  Peace!

I'll have to check it out later. Honestly, if you're right, I'll give it up to you. But that attendance was announced at the arena because they always announce attendance.

They might just have to postpone this fight until fans can attend.

Sad that Bob Arum and Top Rank can’t cough up a extra million to make this fight. Give Lopez the extra money and if he wins you got the next big boxing Star if he dethrones Lomochenko.

Boxing don’t care about it’s fans. Shows you how much the sport is hurting that the “best” American boxing promotion company can’t even pay one of its top fighters some extra $$ while you paying Shakur Stevenson $400k to fight a Puerto Rican mechanic in the bubble. Come on now
