You mean almost getting KOd by a dude 20 pounds lighter and in his second Pro fight?

Salcido stayed alive using not shots. When you figure his people abandon their families to the fate of the cartels just to go to America to scrub toilets, I guess that performance doesn't appear too trashy. Relatively speaking.

But to act like that's any indication of how Morales - or anyone else - would do against Loma is ridiculous.

Who was Morales fighting in his second Pro fight?

When did he ever beat anyone as good as Linares, Rigo, Russell Jr., Campbell?

The only way Morales gets into the same gym or stadium as Loma is to take out the trash.

Just because Loma has not had to be resilient very much as of yet due to his skills (a good thing), doesn't mean he's not a warrior.

Nobody else in the history of boxing has ever fought such a rugged, seasoned fighter as Salido in their 2nd pro fight.
The dude had 55 fights already ffs! (10 were for world titles)

And good on Loma. I’m not knocking him for jumping right into the flames. I’m saying where previous Morales opponents were already battle tested, Loma has not been so he wears a question mark.

      Immediate contradiction time.

Leon Spinks fought Ali in his 8th pro fight and Holyfield fought Qawi in his 11th btw. Both Ali and Qawi are legends but they were both defeated. Salido isn’t a legend and beat Loma.

Obviously, 2nd >11th all day & as you also know , Salido came in over weight, was most likely doping and fouled the p@ss out of Loma to a point where he should have been DQ'd. Yet, he still almost got stopped.

Also, Ali was almost shot and Qawi was not that special.

Bolded: I just outlined how he was 'battle tested' and you somewhat agreed to it .........like wtf already

Qawi was a buzz saw who would have chopped up every single guy that considered passing through the cruiserweight div in the last 20 years. Holyfield fought no one to prepare him for that sort of monster so the inexperience is equal to Loma, to say the least. Especially when you consider Holyfield had to go 15 rounds.

No! Not even close. That version of Pac defeated Morales and Barrera. The welter version of pac defeated fighters like: De La Hoya, Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez, Bradley, Broner and Thurman.

I'm as big a fan of Braxton as anyone here. But he was already on the decline. No way he'd hang around this current batch of Cruisers. That threat would keep even his fat ass away from the dinner table.

Could he beat Betterbiev when at his best? Maybe. We might see the Muzzy smothered. But I doubt he folds under pressure, like a Wilder. I also think he hits harder than Mikey Spinks- whose power checked Qawi just fine.

Loma didn't get 15 rounds and small gloves. If he did, Salido goes to sleep.

                    Terrible statement

Qawi was a rugged guy to be sure but he was not very skilled and badly overrated just because he's tied to Holyfield. He really beat nobody of significance at CW to say things like he would 'chop up' any CW over the last 20 years. There have been many good CW's in that time incl. Jirov, Toney, Cunningham, Mormeck, Bell, Haye, Gomez, Usyk, Lebedev, Gassiev, Huck and Briedis. In my estimation, several of those are better than anyone Qawi beat and all of them would likely stand a good chance to beat him. We know for sure that Usyk would embarrass him.

It's debatable overall. Remember, Pac is finished work and Loma is still going. His story is not done.

Now, on topic, Pac definitely wasn't better at the time he was at 130. He had sick power and speed, but he most certainly was not more skilled or more accomplished than Loma at that time.
