Anyway, I have a huge amount of respect for Morales. Who would win? I have no idea. I'd like to wait until Loma's career is over before trying to compare him to past greats.
Dude come on. Mayweather would beat Salido as an olympic amateur. De La Hoya knocks him out.

By 130, Morales was a shot and past his prime fighter. His body was then showing early signs of aging and his skills were slowly on the decline. That win against Pac ruined his career. By the tender age of 28 he was done. Pac beat the prime out of him even in defeat as he was never the same fighter again.

Was Pacquiao better than Lomachenko? When Morales beat him?

I like Morales a lot as a fighter, but I have never seen anything like Loma before. I'd pick Loma by UD...……..Rockin'

I have huge respect for both of those fighters. I believe that Floyd is a better fighter than Loma.

Even so, I disagree that they would have won that fight.

Both great fighters. I pick prime Loma to win and I think Loma is past prime now. Loma's competition has been about as good as it gets. Every single fight he has had as a pro has been with a world champion or a top contender. Who else fought more world champions in fewer fights?

I look at it this way, if it were so easy for the countless Olympians and top amateurs to fight for, let alone win titles in their second pro fight, then history would be littered with examples....and it isn't, for a good reason.

The 147 pound Salido would have mauled just about any 126 pound fighter ever in their second pro fight. Especially if he was allowed to punch a guy 42 times below the belt.

Can we stop acting like Lomachenko's second pro fight was the equivalent as most other fighters? He was 24 years old, had 400 amateur fights, and fought 8 six round fights where he was paid without headgear previous to that.

Amateur records are meaningless, except if they can be used to detract from Loma.
