Im the same I watch the lot and all have elements of boxing, at the end of the day nothing will replace boxing because boxing is noble and has such a long history.Comment

I agree.Absolutely barbaric savage trash. Elbows, knees, kicks, choke-holds, body slamming, punching while your opponent is on the ground. Just terrible.
Boxing is truly the gentlemen's sport. Even though it is a brutal sport, it is much more civilized. You can only use your fists. You actually use the proper size gloves unlike those small ass "gloves" they use in UFC to maximize damage. The ref steps in if a fighter is hurt and gives him a standing 8. The ref then asks if he is able to continue. If he doesn't respond or his body language is saying no, the ref will wave the fight off right then and there.
Much more civilized than MMA where you take a knee straight to the face, end up on the floor while you are getting punched and the ref lets the fight go on.
If you don't have the skills and stamina in boxing to make it to the final bell, it's going to be a long fight. No kicking, knees, elbows and tackling to bail you out either.
Pure trash.
I just don't like it.
Strangely enough, I'm much more open to watching women do MMA, than men.
It seems like a natural way for women to fight with all the grabbing and holding.
To me, men are supposed to fight by "throwing hands", which is what we call it in the hood.
I wish a motherfxcker would try to arm bar me in a fight

Not really seeing the comparison. You're basically arguing that MMA is "lowest common denominator" because it has lots of spectacular KOs and action...like thats a bad thing. Its like some 75 year old baseball fan ****ting on people watching football or basketball because baseball is more "sophisticated" and "cultured"
If its an actual experienced jiu jitsu guy doing it, you'd change your mind pretty quick.Comment

All you care about is "but didn't nobody die!"They may look like brutal to you but with video you posted, have you tried researching these fighters’ conditions whether they took permanent damage or something? Compare it to how many people took permanent damage in boxing who may look like they didn’t take as brutal beating as what you presented in video.
As far as I recall, I hardly hear people suffering brain damages from them. Broken bones, yes, but repairable injuries
You miss the point of the OP.

You’re damn about that. Boxing nowadays don’t want to give us the fights we were asking. UFC gives fans GREAT match-up. Even match-ups that fans never imagined yet. UFC has their own match-makers btw unlike boxing wherein promoters or the so-called A-side fighters are the match-makers that’s they result to cherrypick matches most of the time. This really disappoint me as 1st boxing fan seeing these things happen.why do u give a fck about their pockets? u wanna see the best face the best or not? ima lifelong boxing fan but UFC cards are always superior and they don't do that weak ass "marinating" sht u see in boxing. khan vs brook got marinated to death and now nobody gives a flying fck about itComment
