So you dont think, on average, the UFC is more entertaining? say if you tune into a random card of each. And you dont think big fights get made more frequently? that the cards are deeper? etc etc.

The UFC is the elite level of mixed martial arts.

Boxing shows all levels from domestic level, European level, commonwealth and world championship level 'The UFC does operate like this etc'

The UFC is a small percentage of mixed martial art fighters, most are just ****heads like BKM who think they are solid 'And have nothing to show for it, no prestigious amateur titles or tournament wins'.

The thing that will always keep mma from being a legit respected sport(you should hear how ESPN talks about mma likes it’s some sideshow yet they televise it) is the garbage takedown and clinch those guys that specialize in that are usually there just to hold you and actually prevent a fight.

If mma can change some rules where if you’re not going for subs and just hold a guy down you get a point deducted ala pride rules

ESPN doesnt **** on MMA because of wrestling lol. All those old suits on the big networks were ****ting on MMA back in the day, calling it human ****fighting for thugs etc, then it blew up so big (instead of fading away like the fad they thought it was gonna be) that eventually they begrudgingly had to get a piece of the pie, a lot of them resent that. Just look at how like a decade ago Arum (a young whippersnapper in only his late 70s at the time) was saying MMA ****** and its fighters werent **** compared to boxers. Now hes doing a fraction of the viewers on the same network and heavily featuring a guy who went 1-3 in the UFC on his recent cards. Its gotta sting.

As for the wrestling thing again, over the last few years we've got to a stage where MMA fights are usually like 75% stand up anyway. And MMA already tends to produce the most action packed fights in combat sports under the current rules.

You are really reaching for any kind of random abstract argument against the UFC just hoping if you throw enough **** some of it might stick aint you? Its like how the other dude was talking about how the UFC is marinating fights just like boxing because they wont make Jon Jones vs Hulk Hogan, then you're saying the UFC sucks because it only shows high quality MMA on its cards, and now we're onto the next thing. Man....

You also totally ignored the responses about bringing up all those old boxing matches and how it indicates that a lot of boxing fandom these days is based purely on nostalgia and romanticism of bygone eras rather than the actual quality of the sport currently.
