'legal'. A ref watching as a guy repeatedly pounds another guy's head with numerous unanswered shots.

You're seriously comparing that to a guy in Manny Pacquiao who at least tried to fight back.

        OK bro

Imagine trying to get on your high horse over violence.....as a ****ing boxing fan lmao. Boxing rules are designed in such a way that even outmatched opponents can go for 36 minutes getting lit up. You can take way more punishment before being stopped because of the bigger gloves and the standing counts after the knockdown, and that culminative effect of constant mid level impacts shaking your brain around your skull for 12 rounds ****s you up long term more than getting stopped quickly in MMA. The proof is in the pudding, the UFC has never had a single death or serious injury, nor has basically any major MMA org, while boxing has high profile deaths and serious injuries pretty much every year. Go figure.

The ref determines if the fighters are doing something illegal or not - it’s their job after all. Obviously we have incompetent refs like the ref from Pac-Horn fight (thanks for mentioning that). Besides, we also have bad refs in boxing (too many actually). Do we have to post boxing videos of sadistic refs allowing a fighter to beat up the broken fighter? It’s not just the Sport. It’s the officiating (and corruption like the paid refs and judges)

In one, a fighter is still fighting back, just failing (Pacquiao). That's not not corruption, your guy got his ass whooped.

In another, a prone, still fighter takes numerous unblocked punches to the back of the skill (can be deadly), side of the head, etc.

It's not close and it's not the same.

Hell, Paige was one of my favs, but I cringed at the straight up ass whooping she took from Thug Rose. That ass whooping had her fighting back, just failing.

There's a difference between an ass whooping where you're fighting back and a ref allowing a defenseless fighter to get pummeled.

UFC is putting better fights and it's easier to follow than boxing.

Boxing is truly the gentlemen's sport. Even though it is a brutal sport, it is much more civilized. You can only use your fists. You actually use the proper size gloves unlike those small ass "gloves" they use in UFC to maximize damage. The ref steps in if a fighter is hurt and gives him a standing 8. The ref then asks if he is able to continue. If he doesn't respond or his body language is saying no, the ref will wave the fight off right then and there.

Much more civilized than MMA where you take a knee straight to the face, end up on the floor while you are getting punched and the ref lets the fight go on.

If you don't have the skills and stamina in boxing to make it to the final bell, it's going to be a long fight. No kicking, knees, elbows and tackling to bail you out either.

                    Pure trash.
Bro i can understand were your passions lie but no need to get down on a sport you dont like.
Just dont entertain or watch it just like many dont like to watch wrestling its a matter of taste.

They may look like brutal to you but with video you posted, have you tried researching these fighters’ conditions whether they took permanent damage or something? Compare it to how many people took permanent damage in boxing who may look like they didn’t take as brutal beating as what you presented in video.

As far as I recall, I hardly hear people suffering brain damages from them. Broken bones, yes, but repairable injuries
