Why not? He was 397-1 as an amateur, yet only 1-0 as a pro.

Fighting 3-5 rounds with big gloves, a head guard and trying to point score is completely different to a 12 round world title fight, where every punch thrown is intended to cause damage.
Goes to show you the levels between AMATEUR and Pro. No one cares about the greatest AMATEUR guy except other amateurs.

It’s just different tbh man. I wouldn’t say their is levels between them at the top level, I mean look how quickly guys like Loma, Rigo, Beterbiev etc became elite professionals.

An amateur fight is like a 200m sprint whereas a pro fight is like 5000m run. Usain Bolt and Mo Farrah are both great runners but it’s hardly comparable.

Certain great amateurs just can’t make the transition.

        Just asking
You’ve been one of the more vocal posters about cheating and wtv ( Fury ) , which imo are very debatable
But then you rate Salido a 10 when he came in overweight and with a ref in his pocket
Just don’t make no fughin sense and shows how bias you are

Had the referee clamped down on the nut punching early then it probably would've been a different fight.

Mulako! How have you been? I've missed you man! I think you are confusing cheating with gamesmanship. Yeah, Salido was wrong for coming in overweight but Loma allowed him to do so anyway; Which I found to have been a bit strange.

However, all of your other grievances about Salido having the referee in his hip pocket, that's just too bad. Get over it! You might as well get used to it anyway because it is the way of the world and the nature of the sport as I recalled being told when shit like that happened in the Wilder/Fury rematch.

When I complained about all the roughhouse tactics Tyson Fury was doing to Deontay Wilder like leaning on the back of his neck while hitting him with punches at the same time, headlocking him, rabbit punching him, tripping and hitting him on the breaks.

I was told to get over it. I was accused of just being a sore loser and guess what? I got over it. I inevitably accepted it as I was looking towards their trilogy.

So please don't come looking for no sympathy from me when fans like yourself innocently and silently stood by while all of that foul shit that Tyson Fury was doing to Deontay Wilder was going on.

So the only bias one here I can see is you.

              Hahahahahahahahahahaha
              Nice deflection
Wilder really has blinded you from the light
Oh well , can hardly wait to hear from you after the 3rd instalment if Wilder loses
That ought a be bias to the max

Elite ?!?!?! Off of which fight ?

It's like a person who spent many years playing softball then asked to play baseball. It's almost a different sport. Sure, they may eventually catch on, but all that time wasted......

I wish one of these amateur enthusiasts can explain to me the need to have more than 70 fights, if that fighter plans on becoming a pro. If a guy wants to maintain that amateur ranking...by all means, rack up 100's of wins
