If he made weight, he most likely would have been stopped.

You don’t think GRJ is elite? I’m no fan of the guy but he’s a tremendous fighter IMO.

The Donaire fight almost hurt Rigo’s career nobody wanted to fight him after he schooled Nonito. I really wish Rigo would have come along in the era of Barrera, Morales, Junior Jones, McKinney etc.

If GRJ is elite then the HOF is going to need a lot more room.

I gave you Donaire. One quality win does not make one elite.

            I give this win a 15.

points for each LB he was over + the amount of below the belt shots he landed. = 15

Loma allowed him? Are you just not being careful with how you say things? You have a pro fight setup, and there are many people involved in such fights, a lot of money to lose if a fight is called off. Also, it wasn't so much Salido's weight that caused issues in the fight.

However, all of your other grievances about Salido having the referee in his hip pocket, that's just too bad. Get over it! You might as well get used to it anyway because it is the way of the world and the nature of the sport as I recalled being told when shit like that happened in the Wilder/Fury rematch.
Fury didn't cheat. There is no proof of that. There is clearly video evidence of Salido breaking the professional rules of boxing.

When I complained about all the roughhouse tactics Tyson Fury was doing to Deontay Wilder like leaning on the back of his neck while hitting him with punches at the same time, headlocking him, rabbit punching him, tripping and hitting him on the breaks.
Just so you know, if you watch the fight, both fighters were connecting behind the head. That happens a lot, unintentionally. Regardless, Wilder and Fury had their fair share of rabbit punches. I never saw any overt, intentional rabbit punches, however.

I was told to get over it. I was accused of just being a sore loser and guess what? I got over it. I inevitably accepted it as I was looking towards their trilogy.
              As you should.

So please don't come looking for no sympathy from me when fans like yourself innocently and silently stood by while all of that foul shit that Tyson Fury was doing to Deontay Wilder was going on
Rrrrrriiiiiggghhhht. So outboxing someone is foul *****. You have a very interesting perspective on boxing.

Being an elite fighter and a HOF’er are two completely separate things.

GRJ has held the WBC 126 lb title for 5 years and has beaten quality fighters like JoJo Diaz, Tug Nyambayar and Johnny Gonzalez. Despite his inactivity he’s widely regarded as one of the top 2 featherweights in the world. He’s clearly a top level/elite class fighter.

So now you’re saying Rigo wasn’t elite?
                C’mon man...

Salido intentionally came in overweight, fouled early and often and still barely wins a SD. I rate the win a 3.

It really wasn't that impressive of a victory. Just watch the fight, Lomachenko was gun shy until the last couple rounds where he almost finished Salido (thank Laurence Cole for that). It was more of what Lomachenko didn't do vs. what Salido actually did.

I rate it kind of like Carlos Quintana's win over Paul Williams. We all saw what Paul Williams did to him in the rematch. Same thing would've happened here.

I usually root for Salido - hard worker, exciting. But facts are he missed weight against a 2 fight opponent. Fought dirty. And still just won by split decision.

At least he could have KOed Lomachenko with the weight advantage and low blow allowed in that fight but he was the one almost KOed in the 12th.
