Lol @ the mma fighter HAVING to leg kick because it's his only recourse because he's terrified of closing the distance on a boxer... It's an admission to how awful his striking is... But your logic doesn't even hold true... Guys in MMA fights routinely get close and just box...
Elite boxers are just SOOOO much faster than MMA fighters with their hands... Most streets fights end immediately after one guy gets tagged by a few good punches... It's also a lot easier physically and faster to get off a couple of punches than to attempt some big kick... ALSO... I don't see most of these MMA guys kicking with the speed of Bruce Lee...
There's no Roy Jones Jr of Kicks in the MMA lol
Boxing simply attracts much more special athletes for whatever reason
There is and his name is Jose Aldo and he'd chop down any man standing with those kicks
Brock Lesnar? Mark Hunt? Cung Le? Hell, Kimbo Slice? Lol. I'm looking at a list of them who started in their 30's and beat veterans?
Brock Lesnar was a 106-5 division 1 wrestler. Hunt has a losing record in MMA and is a purple belt in BJJ mixed with extensive kickboxing experience. Kimbo was a novelty act who absolutely ****** and who you seem to forget ****ed around in boxing as well. Cung Le was training in a variety of martial arts since he was a teenager.
You seem to be missing the point that its MIXED martial arts. You dont train "MMA", you train wresting, BJJ, boxing, muay thai etc in an MMA context. Someone that has extensive previous experience in for example wrestling (which is widely considered to be the most imporant single aspect of MMA) is not some random bum off the street.

That doesn't/can't happen in boxing.
Using your own logic Lucas Browne was a 6-2 MMA fighter who at 30 switched to boxing after being KO'd twice in MMA, and ended up becoming a world champ and top 10 ranked fighter with wins over Chagaev, Toney and Rudenko. Jarrell Miller also managed to break the top 10 in HW boxing after being a marginal kickboxer who lost twice to an old Cro Cop who had recently been dropped from the UFC for being KO'd 3 times in a row. Artem Lobov has a literal losing record in MMA and managed to beat Malinaggi in a hands only fight. Clay Collard who was getting hype on here recently for upsetting prospects went 1-3 in the UFC and was going for desperation takedowns against Max Holloway because he was getting lit up in what was essentially an MMA boxing match.
****, Joshua and Wilder didnt start boxing in any capacity until they were 18/19. Both of them won olympic medals and world titles. Its not like your MMA examples either where you're listing guys who had previous extensive experience in another combat sport that is highly transferable to MMA. AJ walked into a boxing gym for the first time at a point where Wlad was champ, and then went on to beat that same Wlad for the belts.

Kimbo Slice, Ray Mercer, What’s that wrestler?
Ray Mercer lucked into getting that 1 time out of 10 moment where a punchers chance will actually work. He also managed to get choked out by ****ing Kimbo Slice.

Twas Brock Lesnar. Lesnar btw has no clue how to fight.
And yet even now in his mid 40s, having being retired for years, he would easily stop Fury, Joshua and Wilder in the same night in a combined 5 minutes or less.

MMA are master’s of nothing,
Ah I see, so olympic medallist wrestlers and judoka, ADCC champions, K1 GP winners and the countless BJJ black belts and ex division 1 wrestlers are actually masters of nothing? lol.

Based on absolutely nothing. MMA is going to have the better athletes on average if anything, for the simple reason that they have to work on a wider range of athletic attributes. You're not seeing flying knees, spinning kicks, slams, 100mph wrestling scrambles, dudes propelling themselves off a cage Matrix style etc etc in boxing.
Its an entirely different sport. They dont commit to their punches in the same way, they dont leverage their back/entire body into it like boxers. Did you see how mayweather basically laughed off mcgreggors punching power when he is considered one of the hardest hitters p4p in UFC. But they are defending against take downs, kicks ect. They arm punch and dont fully commit in the same way boxers do.
I can still enjoy it because i recognize its a different sport with different dynamics.

Theres more need to commit to punches in boxing because of the bigger gloves, standing counts etc. Its just way harder to stop someone under boxing rules. With those tiny gloves in MMA, no counts after the KD and all the different ways you can be attacked, KOs come a lot easier. Plus as you alluded to theres more defensive risks involved throwing punches with full commitment because if you plant your feet you can be countered with a low kick or takedown attempt.
Conor threw like 3x as many shots as Floyd through the first 4 rounds and outlanded him, but those shots arent going to have the effect with big boxing gloves that they might have done with MMA gloves, so he just gassed himself out.
Tbh, something like this...
Could potentially have been a problem if it landed with 4oz gloves. Not to mention if it had been MMA striking/kickboxing/muay thai rules Floyd would have been circling straight into what could have been a headkick.
