if a pro mma fighter or even good amateur with good bjj gets in a fight he will just take u down and if not drunk prob with extreme ease and not too small for u, so unless u nail him first its a tough fight if not impossible as punchers cant grapple

All the street fights I saw mma fighters involved in were them throwing punches. I never saw them take a guy down. Wonder why

That's pretty much exactly what happened when Rid**** Bowe and Ray Mercer fought kickboxers.

maybe because they were being macho and wanted to punch the guy, maybe it was a brawl, maybe they were standup mma guys, they exist too, who knows

I'm not dogging boxing, as I love the sport and boxing skills matter in street fights, but I used to train with a BJJ brown/black belt who got into alot of street fights. Guy was a pro fighter, and he had terrible stand-up.

The guy said they pretty much all went the same; double leg takedown, move to mount, and start landing strikes from the mount.

But we also had a guy in town who trained with Ann Wolfe that killed a man with a punch in a street fight.

MMA and boxing both work in street fights, especially against untrained opponents. But neither is guaranteed to always bring you victory.

I think the sloppiness sometimes comes from all that you have coming at you. Punches, kicks, takedowns. It easier in my opinion to look good when you're just throwing punches or just wrestling.

Barely anybody uses kicks In a street fight and even less people than that clinch. 90% of street fights starts and ends with punches.and there's a good reason for that. They are the most effective and the quickest way to hurt your opponent Most street fights lasts 30 Seconds max. That's not enough time to wear a guy down with fcking leg kicks or takedowns.

You're describing street fights between untrained people who dont know how to do anything but throw haymakers, and for some reason applying it to a 1 v 1 fight between an MMA fighter and pro boxer.

I mean your argument here is literally "I dont see drunks on WSHH vids using crisp wrestling or muay thai therefore a boxer would win on the street" and "WSHH fights end in 30 seconds because they have no defence and usually sucker punch therefore kicking and wrestling wont work on boxers"...like wtf?

You're just proving my point here. A washed up Cro Cop beat Jarrell Miller twice in kickboxing matches. You know...this Cro Cop.....

In any other context they have inferior technique because they dont even have 75% of the techniques an MMA fighter has in the first place. Have inferior defence because they cant defend kicks, takedowns or submissions. Inferior distance control because they arent used to kicking range and dont work on the clinch range as much. Have inferior timing because people will be timing their punches into takedowns or interrupting their rhythm with kicks. And inferior power because an unprotected shin or knee being blasted into someones head generates far more power than a punch.

most street fights are alcohol fuelled so its just chaos, i mean if u took someone down and his mate came along and kicked u in the head that would not be good either, best advice avoid completely, not worth it at all and any trained person should not be getting in a street fight either, punch or mma

Rose Namajunas vs Jessica Andrade was a fun fight, those ladies put on a show and stole the show! You get a little bit of everything on a MMA Card that is why it is called "MIXED" Martial Arts

We boxing fans looking for Technique and Skills...however the people who actually spend money on PPV Events which are mostly the Average Casual Fans...they want Excitement and Entertainment and most of them don't give a SH^T about Technique. In Fact I would say most of the "Technically Sounds Guys" in MMA are often times labeled "Boring" because fans tune in to the UFC FOR A FIGHT!

Its funny because Mayweather was trending last night because people was labeling and comparing Usman to Mayweather as far as being so dominating that he makes the fights "BORING"
