1)Floyd didn’t fight Manny in his prime. He waited it out until Manny had already been domesticated by Marquez. Then he finally agreed to fight him.
2)Floyd didn’t beat Manny convincingly. It was more of a default decision on points. Nothing too memorable from Floyd’s end.Comment

Manny's trainer has accepted responsibility for the fight not happening in 09/10. Manny's promoter made him get stitches after saying he was ready to fight ONLY after the Nevada commission delayed Floyd's jail sentence so he could fight in May 2012.
As for the fight, Floyd won by a large margin on every rational scorecard. Does it really matter whether a win is "exciting" or not? Rather, was the lack of "excitement" because of Floyd or because Manny stopped punching after he ate the right hand counter in round 1?Comment
