Liston and Foremen in Their Prime...Maybe... Still a Long Shot...Has to. He’s a huge athlete with a very unusual combination of speed and mobility. It’s partly what made Ali special in his time. I’m a big believer in the greats of the past, but I don’t overlook the fact that many modern fighters are/were as good or sometimes better.Comment

Struggle is the wrong word.
Fury is awkward so it wouldn't be a highlight match but Ali isn't going to struggle with him either.
He's fought more skilled boxers, more athletic boxers, and harder punchers than Fury. So, to say Ali struggles is an overstatement.
it won't be easy for him but struggle is the wrong word definitely.Comment

Bob Arum thinks he can fool anyone. He says "But maybe if Ali was in this era he would be 6'6 instead of 6'3 because of the nutrition. Everything has changed."
Now let's reverse the era and we ask Mr. Arum: -
- How big would have been Fury in Ali's era?
- How would have Fury, Wilder and Joshua coped without a modern day gym
- How would these era's boxers coped without the shakes and so called manufactured proteins
And on his other quote "I can't see Ali competing with a 6'9 guy like Fury. We had big guys in the old days but they were slow, lumbering. They were jokes who couldn't fight, they were just big" :-
How can you measure that they were slower than the current crop?
My plea to the promoters are please leave those souls alone, they came, they entertained, they put their lives on the line and they left. No point comparing as one will never know who would have won. Remember like they say "one punch can change all".Comment
