Please explain, how did weight play a factor in this fight? Give specific examples.

But don't come at me with any length bullshit, though. There are weight divisions in boxing not length divisions.

As big a problem as I have with that fight, Mayweather is the biggest stylistic nightmare that could possibly exist for Marquez. The weight bull**** was awful and does matter, but I can't imagine Marquez ever being really competitive with Mayweather.

I can't think of any other Jmm fights where he moved up 2 weight classes and was promised a catchweight fight but was cheated on the scales by several pounds, then his opponent didn't even try to make weight

What effect did the weight have on this fight? In what way did cheating on the scales help Floyd and hurt JMM?

Bingo..... Counter puncher vs athletic counter puncher. Its a reason Marquez wanted no parts of Floyd after he knocked out Manny

He didn't use his weight to win the fight, Floyd beats him at any weight. The point is it was a dishonest and sucka move, i've said many times on this site Floyd gives his critics room to criticize him by doing dumb things like this. JMM said he felt sluggish at the weight because he gained it the wrong way, but that's on him. We didn't get a chance to see what the few extra pounds may have done to Floyd to lose. I see people on here saying Cotto was so adversely effected by the 145 catchweight vs Manny, so it may have had the same effect on Floyd (even though I don't buy that excuse) but we'll never know. He could of lost punch resistance like Chad Dawson

Yep nail hit the on the head, Floyd is sugar, Marquez is way too mechanical to handle a guy like Floyd.

Marquez was taught to box, Floyd was born to box.
