JMM said he felt sluggish at the weight because he gained it the wrong way, but that's on him. We didn't get a chance to see what the few extra pounds may have done to Floyd to lose. I see people on here saying Cotto was so adversely effected by the 145 catchweight vs Manny, so it may have had the same effect on Floyd (even though I don't buy that excuse) but we'll never know. He could of lost punch resistance like Chad Dawson
Its not dishonest or a sucka move, this insinuates it was planned, it wasnt, Ive said this I dont know how many times, Floyd being out for a couple of years got caught by his body not letting go of that last couple of pounds, he would not have known they wasnt coming of until a few hours before weighin, it went to its usual 146lbs and would need boiling it off and he didnt want to do that at the last minute.

You dont practice weighins, once the weight making process is in motion they are in a system of dropping at a certain rate, Floyd wasnt anymore dishonest than Oscar looking like a waif at 147, fighters think they can make a weight sometimes they get caught.

Abouttime posted a link that says it wasn't some last minute thing or hours before the weight in. It was changed over a week out from the fight by team mayweather. The agreed upon catchweight was 144 but paperwork said a welterweight bout. They put it in there so they could punk out on the weight later. Sucka move

I couldnt find the link but read a thing on ESPN that ringed similar, the part that I dont get is knowing you cant make the extra 2lb weight days earlier, it makes no sense he wouldnt know and then the question is why not its only 2lb.

Tried to find the bottom and can only find this as the reason the story got put out, an invisible source, Id like to see more concrete information. But yes its strange situation .

According to the source, the Marquez camp knew Wednesday night that Mayweather would not make weight because Mayweather's team made overtures to Golden Boy Promotions in an effort to have Marquez agree to change weight on the bout agreements to be filed with the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

What weight did Floyd vs Cotto take place at? Just wondering. I don't remember.

                    - -U Boy TUE 51-0 bought extra time to make weight by saying his tumtummy hurted, so the fight delayed to give preBALCO Juan then training on his own pissoir tonics to fill up.

Don't have to make this shhh up, it's what U feast on!

If the weight was such a big factor you should be able to point out moments of the fight where it gave Floyd an advantage.
