So there's no point unless you're in person discussing this. NOBODY, that I've EVER been around... has ever argued that Canelo beat GGG....

And I'm in the gym... with fighters....
Except I joined this site long before the GGG hype and had a front row seat as he went from being a guy who attracted little buzz with his weak resume to becoming one of the most heavily hyped fighters in years almost overnight with revisionists suddenly citing his knockouts over lesser opposition as evidence of his all time greatness. Even Kellerman who along with HBO were responsible for much of that hype, acknowledged that he got carried away with himself and called for a reexamination of his legacy.

LOL at this haters saying GGG was a hype. GGG is still the best canelo`s win and it was a very very close one.

You are as good as your best win, so if GGG is/was hyped, Canelo is not very good either.

Yes, it's the American fighter who always stand out in a crowd with Wilder and Broner. I don't know what hype you all are talking about. These two fighters were only hyped by boxing fans and not by the casual mainstream media fans. They were both unknowns.

I know many will vote for Wilder but he had tremendous power. I would say Broner or Khan.

Juan Manuel Lopez. At one point his fight with Gamboa was going to be one of the most anticipated fights of the decade. Next thing he loses a fight and becomes a virtual gatekeeper overnight.

Why is that implausible? Did James become some ATG Cruiser whilst I wasn't looking? Not saying he would or he wouldn't but it's not exactly an outrageous opinion to hold.

Thurman i'd say the jury is still out, the rest were good champions.

He likely would. Toney was fat at cruiserweight. His best days were at 160 and 168.
