Looking back, which active fighter had the most UNDESERVED Hype?

Is there any active fighter today where when you look back, it's like "WTF were people thinking? Can't believe everyone thought this guy was that great!"

Btw, doesn’t mean this fighter is a bad fighter.

But the hype just didn't match the reality.

    Easily Loma at number 1

After that I'd go with either that Caleb Plant kid, or may be GGG

Adrien broner. Wilder was obviously overhyped but he wasn't considered the next p4p King after beating absolutely nobody of note and arguably losing to ponce de Leon. Ring magazine had broner top 5 p4p and so did many others based on their ****** eye tests (basically he looked good against some c level fighters, was American and talked smack). Their are also posters who christened him future fighter of the decade based on this.

I find it real hard to go past Wilder, Showtime and others were comparing his "reign" to Muhammed Ali and stuff, it was atrocious.

Golovkin is another one, they used to say he knocked out Heavyweights in sparring which I mean that's all I needed to see to turn me off the guy

Ortiz is a good shout, became the "Boogeyman" by beating Bryant Jennings and apparently the entire division was scared of him when literally nobody was scared of him not even Dave Allen

Gonzalez is a really good fighter but he gets way too much props from people who have never actually see him fight

Without a doubt Adrien fughin Broner
Sad because he does have the skills but just no heart
It’s much more important to have street cred than actually sticking to what you do well
And , like all the others who came before him and fell in the same strut , he’s proving it by getting in trouble with the law

              Broner.

Decent fighter who only beat secondary opponents (sometimes questionably), lost to the best he faced, talked shìt all over the place and behaved like the Father of All Idiots throughout.

Also, a participant in the least exciting leaked sex tape of all times. The glimpse of his face in there says a lot about his mental state.

Broner, no one becomes top 5 p4p having beaten people like he did. Just a pathetic career. He was so full of it and I think he knew that damn well.

Hard one between GGG and Wilder. One was compared to Hagler and the other to Mike Tyson or hardest punching heavyweight of all time.

When both came to fight real ones we realize it was the UFC formula to build stars vs the pragmatic approach. Forget the theory... it’s all about who you actually fight and do
