Should the HW division be broken down into divisions?

I think the cruiser-weight division could go back to 190 pounds, YOU will then see a greater influx of classical physique heavyweights being forced back into the division 'The cruiser-weight division has actually taken a lot out of the heavyweight division.Comment

So instead of weight limits to even up the fight, let a guy who outweighs his opponent by 40 lbs beat the crap out of someone and call him the greatest? Lol. Naww. It's what makes the Heavyweight division special. People get in to these petty arguments of who is the best p4p or the best in this or that division. This guy cuts weight and so he's a "weight bully"
This other guy went up by 4 lbs so he's a multiple division champion.
At Heavyweight there's no excuse. You either can win or you can't. You don't get to cry about being too small. Makes it fun!Comment

It’s been going on forever. And besides the one super talented person who is that big and that good of a boxer, it doesn’t matter. We’ve seen people with 40 pound weight advantages get beat up at heavyweight all throughout history.

Fine. Then explain why a guy who weighs 148 is too big and its unfair for him to fight at 147.Comment

I hear you! That's the reason for the weight classes in the first place.
But I also think that it's okay to stop at a certain point and just acknowledge "okay you're in with the big boys now"
Personally I'd give Cruiserweight a 5lb bump and make it 205 like in MMA. I would then throw in a 190lb division because I have never understood that massive jump from 175 to 200.Comment

I don't really give a crap when it was started. I'm neither for or against more divisons. My point is, some of these weight differences in the HW division are huge. I don't see the fairness in praising a guy 25lbs or more heavier than his opponent in the HW division, when fighters who outweigh their foes by even 10lbs on fight night are called weight bullies in the under 200lb divisions.Comment

The whole "weight bully" thing is just whiney fans. Everyone went nuts and lost their minds when Pacquiao came up and staryed beating DLH, Margarito, Cotto, Clottey etc.I don't really give a crap when it was started. Had he lost those fights would people have said that these guys were weight bullying poor little Manny? I guess they probably would have but it's hypocritical lolComment
