We are talking about the heavyweight division in this thread. Not lightweights. I also think there should only be the original 8 weight classes if u wanna break it down that far which leaves more room . The david vs goliath aspect has applied to the heavyweight division since the beginning . Men were just smaller by stature . Why take away that intrigue from boxings premiere weight division ?? To each their own but I say why fix something that has brought great intrigue to the division since the beginning . If boxers are in this for safety they are in the wrong sport . Men in their 170s were fighting carnera back in the day an even bigger disparity. They put the cruiser division to fix this , no more measures are needed IMO .

Only little dudes will want it to be broken up. Leave it open. And if a guy is too small to compete, then lose weight and go to cruiser. Bigger is not always better.

If indeed they did seperate the division, into hw and shw well say at 230lbs., What would they call the superheavyweight champion of the world? The badder man on the planet? Albeit the hw champ is universally known as the "baddest man" on the planet.

if anything they would just move Cruiserweight up more like they did last time.

but no. leave it. If anything, it should only be the original 8 glamour divisions, with the newer "in between divisions" for special circumstances (ie: Middleweight Champion of the world fights Light Heavyweight Champion of the world at 168)
