Mosley went into his fight with Margarito as a significant underdog and there was a reason why.
Yeah cause margarito just beat cotto.

Mosley barely lost to cotto and many had him winning.

Styles make fights and mosley had the perfect strategy to hold margarito after he got his shots off with his faster hands

He wasn't that good to begin with. When you get caught cheating, it's most likely not the first time you were cheating. He had a good chin & real stamina, but people overlook the fact that he was a huge WW. Skill-wise, he was an ordinary guy. His win over Cotto will always be overshadowed by what happened before, during & after the Mosley fight.

that's not the point though. There's no way Margarito thought mosley would be a bigger threat to him than Cotto. He didn't consider mosley to be a bigger fight than his fight vs Cotto and there's no way he would've thought to cheat for mosley, but not Cotto. Margarito was an underdog vs Cotto but a significant favorite vs mosley. Not really sure what posing you're trying to make.

yeah, that fight had a lot of people saying Cotto was a quitter for going down at the end of that fight. Other notable quitters in boxing also include Chavez sr, Chavez Jr, erik morales, raul Marquez, Oscar de la hoya, and Victor Ortiz.

Perhaps that wasn't the first time he had doctored his gloves, just the first time he got caught. His biggest mistake was fighting Pacquiao.

I am a huge Floyd Mayweather fan, and I give him.all the p4p status in the world, but that is one fight I think he let get away from him. Would have been a fantastic matchup stylistically.
Alot of fights he let get away

Casamayor, Tszyu, Williams, Freitas, Margarito, 2010 Pacquiao, lightweight Marquez, Martinez, Hamed, pre-Margarito Cotto, prime Mosley, and Keith Thurman (WBA had to create a separate belt; fought a shot Berto instead)

Um it was Pacquiao who broke his face, was never quite the same after that. Cotto in the rematch benefited greatly from the damage Pac did to him.
