      Yes.

Go watch Liston-Clay 1. Around the 4th or 5th round, Clay starts having problems and complains to Angelo Dundee that he can’t see. Dundee knows they will call the fight a TKO loss if they try not make something out of it so he sends his fighter out there for the next round with the instruction “run!”. He does so and survives what is known as the blind round. Liston quits soon after.

Or maybe even before the controversy he wasn't that great. His notable wins before were Cotto and Cintron. Cintron was just an athlete with a good punch. Maybe a name I'm forgetting. OH clottey too in a very close fight where Clottey is said to have messed an arm up in the early stages.

Lost a close but clear decision to Williams who was very overrated.

He never was a world class fighter just a badass with a great O2 capacity.

He basically had one night where his will finally trumped skill with a true world class boxer in the absolute prime of their career.

          Long live Margarito!
highly doubt that he went from the biggest win of his career (vs a prime Cotto) to a basic level punching bag (vs a past prime mosley) in just about 6 months time, because he suddenly slowed down. Without loaded gloves, his ability to absorb punishment became his only attribute and his offense that previously was able to hurt and wear down his opponents was no longer a major factor.

Margarito was a great fighter who terrified floyd enough to duck a career high $8m through all of 2005 and 2006. Floyd was clearly terrified. Margarito proved he was a feared beast by destroying tough though not famous opposition in REAL fights. Eventually his take one to land one style and all the tough fights and sparring wore him down and he faded. He lost a super fight with Williams. He beat prime Cotto when Floyd was ducking Cotto too. Mosley was clearly using PEDs when he fought Mosley, who looked like a faded bum in his two previous outings. Mosley never complained once of Margarito trying to use illegal wraps - as if he knew he was cheating even worse, pot didn't want to call the kettle black thing. Margarito never actually used illegal wraps. His wraps were watched every fight and no one saw any issue until the Mosley fight and then it was stopped. I believe Margarito had inside info that Mosly was using steroids again and he decided to cheat also. Mosley's cheating is given a pass. Margarito was a great fighter who was cheated out of his greatest TKO - the Floyd fight. No doubt Margarito would have destroyed the fraud. Margarito and Arum both knew it. Everyone knew it. Even ****** Mayweather fans realized it. But of course they deny it because they need a fraud hero to worship. Margarito was a beast, watch his destructions of Cintron and Lujan who he tore his ear off with a punch. Prime Margarito was one of the scariest beasts we saw in the decade.

I'm not giving any evidence to that particular accusation but I used to work as a server with a guy who was a pretty good pro boxer with a respectable record. Not sure where he stands now havent talked to him nor checked his boxrec in years.

But he sparred with Tony Harrison and after the Hurd fight while complaining of feeling weird and describing certain symptoms he was found to have had arsenic all over him.

I think a lot of weird and dastardly things go on that sometimes nobody outside of that boxer and his trainer and maybe one or two others in camp will ever know

Was Mosley really that far gone though?

Didn't cotto barely heat him in a fight many believe Mosley actually won just like 2 years prior?
