That's what happens when promoters want to keep it all in-house. Don't want to do business "across the street". Wilder wasn't worth shyt so there was no risk/reward there to make it lucrative for both fighters, and Kownacki missed out on his biggest payday against AJ.

If this guy takes his training and conditioning more seriously, he can regroup and still pack the Barclay's Center with loyal fans. But he'll never be offered $5M+ again.

What I'm saying is that they took an unranked Price and ranked him for the Eliminator. Same thing they did here when it was Breazele/Kownacki originally, and they suddenly ranked Helenius

I think the comparison would be better if Callum Smith got KO'd by a journeyman too. Until then Smith still has a chance at Canelo.

            Knowacki might be ruined.

Ortiz - Kownacki, battle of hype jobs, please make it. Ruiz is better than both.

I don't know if he is ruined. He got beat. He still has huge support from his Polish fanbase so he will always fill seats. He is also great on TV.

As for Callum, if he never gets a Canelo fight, I am just wondering if the same thing applies.

We’re not talking about Ortiz. Ortiz is an old ass man that has already fought for a title. Kownacki’s situation is totally different.

Yes. He advised Smith during negotiations to not move off a number that would cause the deal to fall through. Instead he allowed BJS to take the fight for a lesser amount.
